The Nav CD's for the ML are DVD based I believe, so they won't work in a standard COMAND system. You need to look for the S-class type NavTech COMAND CD's.

If you have the comand system you need dx based cds. They are made by navtech and I think a few others out there. If you have the MCS system you can order direct from them. Go to navtech.com.

Correct me if I am wrong, I thought all before 2002 or 2003 were CD based and it takes a few disks to cover the whole country.

Depends on the system you have. If yours is dvd based then you only need one disk. If it is cd based then you will need several if you are traveling in the US. Mercedes has 3 types that I know of. The Comand, which is only cd based as of now and the MCS which comes in 2 versions, cd and dvd. I do not think the MCS works outside North America. I believe the dvd was new for 2003.

Probably your Mercedes dealer parts dept. They could order one for you if they don't have it in stock. Or you could call MBUSA to order one.
