Can only use MB V60? Wrong !
The voice recognition works fine. Unfortunately I don't know if the mik-box will work in a 211, because I think it doesn't have a PSE. But I think there is a way to make it work - if anyone in the DC metro area is willing to experiment, please contact me.

The Mik-Box only needs access to the wires btw. the Phone and the car, and an additional +12V - So the integration would still be possible, as long as I know the pinouts and connector.
Well its a different module, and they don't call it PSE anymore. It is now called "AKG control module" or "hands-free-system" control module. It seems to be factory installed on all W211. For the optional voice recognition, the whole module is replaced by the new voice control module. It seems to have two connectors, one for power, one for MOST and the rest - I don't know the connetor or pin out, but I am sure its not the DB25 like on the PSE.

moa4r, have you signed up on my site? What phones do you have, etc..? If you are comfortable with working on your car, and testing electronics (there is a certain risk involved), we can meet and check it out.
Randy, I got the message yesterday. Check your email.

My further development will go in this order:
1. Timeport PSE
2. StarTac PSE
3. Nokia PSE
4. SonyEricsson Phones
5. Nextel Phones
then I will start with either the BT, or other phones like Nokia, Siemens, Samsung, Kyocera, LG, or more exotic types, whichever gets the most requests I guess.
Nextel and SonyEricsson got by far the most requests, and the support for the older two PSEs is more important than anything since many people have those installed. If I get the older Nokia PSE to work, then people with no integration will save about $300 on their install, because those are dirt cheap.
I have made no progress on the W211 integration yet. Can anyone send me a picture of how the connectors on that phone control unit / voice control unit look like?
I'll try to get you something. Problem is I'm out of town for a while. If you don't mind, could you add a new post on the w211 board? This may get you a few more people who can help you out. I'm positive that anyone who did not factory or dealer install will want your product.
