Cradle Kits
New i/x/s cradle kit for C, SLK, and SL (Short cord) Q 6 82 0894
New i/x/s cradle kit for CLK, M and G (Long cord) Q 6 82 0896
New i/x/s cradle kit for E Q 6 82 0898
New i/x/s cradle kit for S and CL Q 6 82 0900

Whats the difference to the old cradle? It perfectly fits all V60 phones. I wonder, is the cable set up different?

If anybody has this cradle, please contact me.

Now this is just a modification of the current V60 cradle kit Q682-0724, to accomodate the "new" V60 phones.
Only the V60s has a different case, since its in fact a modified V60p (my wild guess is that Verizon didn't sell as many V60p as they had hoped for). It has a speaker and is therefore a little bigger. But it fits fine in the old cradle when you take out the battery insert.

Now for the UHI, don't you need a phone adaptor rather than a cradle?

mik, those part numbers are for the regular cradles and not the UHI ones. I need the Phone Adapter part numbers. I thought it was the same as the cradle. The UHI ones don't have coiled cords. The cradles clip onto the connector in the center console which has all the connecttions on it.

thats right. I don't think they have US part numbers yet. Even the "new" V60 coil cord kit is not for sale, as they want to phase out the existing ones first. I think it will be a while until we see the UHI here.

I talked to a dealership in Germany. They say its the same adaptor for V60, V300, V525, V600 the part number is B6-787-5828
Also they now have the Sony Ericsson T610, Partnumber B6-787-5830. The 6310 is B6-787-5822
Cost is 140 Euros + VAT, which sounds a little expensive, I'll check at other places.
The UHI PSE for MOST is 211-820-1485 and costs 230 Euros + VAT.

They also said that they offically don't support retrofitting the UHI as of now, but they have done it inofficially

Have they mentioned anything about supporting a V400 or V600 yet??? Ok just finished reading your last post. So since you two seem to be the UHI Gurus, here is a question What will take to install a UHI kit for the V600/V400 in a 2003 E500 with the V60 unit already installed?????

Randy,

You're going to have to chuck the Motorola Phone kit out the window. Totally. The PSE will have to be replaced with the new UHI and the cradle with adapter will have to be changed. I believe mik said the UHI supports teh v400 adn v600 so these phones are quad band and this would solve your problem!

Mik,

how can the adapter be the same for the v60, v525, v600. They are physically different in size. The v525, v400, v600 are the same but v60 is different. Can you clarify this? And Randy, if you need help with the UHi parts let me know. I have the Parts catalogue for your car as well.

Thumbs up

Yeah Sunman, E-Mail me the Part numbers please for a the whole UHI kit parts that I will need. I am assuming they are not supporting the Nokia 6340i at all? So if this is so, please give me everything for the V400 and V600. I will get started on pricing. Thank you.

Actually the guy said that they don't sell the V60 stuff anymore. So maybe the part number was only for V600, V525 and V300. But definitely it is only one adaptor piece for those 3 phones, he specifically said that.

Sunman would you please E-Mail, or PM when you get a minute. I want to pick your brain about the UHI kit. IF you would provide a phone number I would like to talk with you.

Thanks,
Randy

I too have questions...

Hello all:
I have had nothing but problems with my v60 in my 2004 e55, and the dealer has agreed to take it out and refund the cost. Now comes the hard part. I want to integrate a replacement phone into the Comand, and it looks like the UHI interface may be the way to go. The v600 is not available in Canada yet, but will be shortly. Any information about part numbers, etc. for the UHI interface and v600 cradle will be most appreciated. Thanks, guys
Greg

I'm not sure if the UHI is going to help right now, I saw mention of a bulletin that MB released for the new E class saying there was problems with it. MB is aware and working on a solution, telling the dealers not to replace any parts until MB releases the fix.

But if you are getting the money back, using it for the UHI would be the way to go since you won't have to worry about changing handsets in the future
