Becker Monza 7882 and steering wheel?
I swear I have looked and looked and looked and gone as far as to translate german MB boards, but I can't find, anywhere, a simple declarative yea/nay on this.
Anyone?
Anyone?
...Bueller?

Thanks,

When you say "current," I'm assuming you mean post 1999.
Audio 10 CD (MF2910) - Yes
Becker 7882- No (the Monza is non-fiber optic)

Why in the WORLD doesn't Mercedes have some sort of MP3 player ability which integrates into the system. Just ridiculous in a car so heavily engineered.

Here is a link to CAN bus interfaces
http://www.audiotechnik-dietz.de/ENG/CanBus.html
'MERCEDES W 203, W208, W209, W210, SL W 230.........61022'
Don't know if this will work with the Becker 7882. though.
You pointed me to the right location! From the installation manual...
The cable kit is compatible in the following combinations: - C-Class W203, - C Sport Coupe, - CLK W208, - CLK W209, - E-Class W210 after facelifting (outside mirrors with built in indicators)
with:
- Becker:
Traffic Pro 4.0 onward,
Traffic Pro high speed 1.0 onward,
Online Pro 1.5 onward,
DTM 1.03 onward,
Monza 7882 mp3 (Monza only without CD-Changer!) -
JVC: KD-NX1R
Sony: MEX-100NV
The Interface 61010 reads out the CAN Bus and transforms the digital information into analogue for followed signals, which are needed to build in navigation systems.
- Ignition (Terminal 15, 1A maximum load!),
- Light (Terminal. 58, 1A maximum load!),
- Speedimpulse: Rectangular, 0,64 Hz per km/h
- Signal for reverse gear
- - Steering wheel remote control (if exist)
So now, I need someone to explain to me (since I'm an install newbie) where the interface and cable kit go.

I'm not trying to be dubious, but ..that's it? No special mumbo jumbo or Mercedes rituals involving caviar and champagne sacrifices?
