Upgrade Command System in '03 S500
Is it possible to upgrade the Command System in my '03 S500 to the new DVD based system with integrated satellite radio?

Yes, it's possible. It's probably cheaper to trade your car in on a 2004+ though.

2000 S500 Designo Edition
What's about upgrading 2000 S class COMAND to a 2003 S Class COMAND. I bought a working 2003 S Class wide-screen COMAND on ebay. I would like to find out if it is possible to replace the current 2000 COMAND unit. I know I will at least get a matched wood panel for the new unit.

How can it work ...... the steering wheel comands are altered.

Which part of "cheaper to change cars" conceals the truth in the solution.
