What is wrong with this forum IT system ?

Guys,

I am IT stupid, but I do notice things.

Now this forum has much more nuisance Cloudflare human confirmation request...where I need to TICK the box... while posting or adding attachment.

Today I saw something new which I do not understand why.........

A new member posted , first time poster.
So I replied and other member Tesna dan Calibenz replied....that what I last saw.

And then when I wanted to see latest reply by OP, I got this from MBWORLD...

Why MY LISTING need approval ?
I made a post, I did not LIST anything for sale....I am not selling anything
Or a post is called a LISTING ? Sorry, English is not my first language.

=============

I can't find the said post/thread on MBworld., its like its been locked away temporarily....
Cali and Mas Tesna, are you having the same issue as me ?

end.

Happens from time to time I seen, it might be a certain word in the thread that got flagged, even though if it is not a bad word. I seen very innocent post going through this process and can never find out why.

The dba guru running this site have a busy schedule keeping live services up 24x7

We like the responsiveness of the web server.
Managing the performance is a full time job.

The new CloudFare prompt: "Are you a robot" is the latest attempt to counter DOS flood to preserve bandwidth.

Lets hope it gets better.

A common reason for this is if your IP address is associated with a network that is known to be used by spammers, scammers and bots. Starlink is a good example. If you have Starlink Internet, then you get this, because lots of spammers, scammers and bots use it. Another example is if you are using a VPN. Those are also used by scammers and spammers to disguise their actual location. I never get Cloudfare prompts and such as long as I'm browsing from my actual IP address, which is associated with Google Fiber and is trusted. I did however access this site a while back from a plane with Starlink and constantly got the Cloudfare prompts. I also get them if I forget to disconnect my VPN before accessing this site. Basically it's flagging the traffic due to its untrusted origin.

As an IT guy....(not a web guy) we all need to be aware that the MBWorld servers are hosing FAR more than just MB World. I have seen many other auto-forums that are running on the same systems (servers) but have their own moderators. This is not a stand alone site - this is one of many. While our traffic may be slow of late...who knows what the other forums are doing.

As for the "over heat"...heck, who knows....for me, I always give servers "Snoop Dog" names...."YoShizzleThugDog" is a current prioduction server hosting CT images and other radiology. "ShizzleMyNizzle" is a WLC. My device host name is "error" and throws people for a loop all the time in Zoom or Teams meetings (I do not have a webcam - they see "error" and a black screen). Historically I kept private information in a folder called "Janitorial Supplies" - a name that no one looks at twice as compared to a folder called "Payroll".
