I almost got scammed awhile ago by this guy also. The email address he used was "cardealz1@yahoo.com". He had some C55 wheels + tires on ebay for sale and under "pre-approved bidders" only. I emailed him about the price. He wanted $2000 for them. I told him $1500 shipped. He accepted right away without any hesistation. Then I emailed him the next day that the money order has left ( I lied). I sent several emails requesting more pics of the wheels. He never responded back. Good thing I didn't sent anything or I would've been toasted too.

Hey guys, just to give everyone a heads up, this guy is back under a new ID- mbfan03

I bought the rims below not knowing until I sent the money via paypal and it came back with his name on it, I didn't see this thread until a day before the rims arrived. Yes, luckily I did receive the rims. They aren't as he describes below though, it needed all 4 new tires, 3 new centercaps, new valve stems, and the kicker- 3mm spacers all the way around. He said they were on a C32 (and didn't think they needed spacers) but there was no way they were on a C32 without knowing they needed spacers, they were most likely on a C240. Now I have my rim shop looking for some new rims for me so i dont have to drive around with spacers on all 4 rims!! Just letting everyone know!!

Yeah, I know. I should have listened to my instinct when I saw he only had 16 posts. At least I received 19"SSR rims with a 5x112 bolt pattern....!! They weren't worth the $1200 I paid for them though, i'm hoping the shop will give me about $800 in trade on some that fit right.

 

Seriously all, I know it's going to be somewhat costly, but file a claims against him. Once he has 9-10 cases pending against him and thousands upon thousands of dollars owed in scams (remember you can get fraud money as well, not just what you paid for I believe), he may actually stop. Get this guy off the streets.

There are several ways to deal with him. Considering that most transactions are out of state it can be considered a felony if proved that fraud was done. Based on this thread alone it is enough to warrant a second degree charge. Keep in mind that if you exchanged funds and in return you got merchandise then there is a gray line that he can stand on but a pattern based on this thread has been established so no legal ground to stand on for him.

First a local member who has gotten burned and has prove of this needs to file a police report, no matter on the amount. At the same time other members need to to do the same across different states if possible. Once this is completed you can go back to local law enforcement and advise of other members with open police report on the same individual or fill out a fraud report with FBI since it has no state lines to worry. I would hang my son of his #@77$ if he ever did this crap. Since he is living with his parent (as per the above mention) you could include them in any summons issued provided you can show cause and intent to assist. Turning your back can be argued just as such.

On the ISP / IP block that will only go a certain way as you can proxy of other servers in the net to get to your finally destination. I can assist with the ISP if you guys want. I am very fortunate to have a lawyer in the family (Wife), NYPD Dect (Dad) and work for a major telecommunication company. There are a few things that can be done to prevent him or anyone residing at the address listed above access to the Internet, a bit hard but might go a long way.

And Last but not least, lets do a GTG park all our cars in front and well have fun...as long as we do not step on his property we are ok

 

Call the Nassau County District Attorneys Office,The Nassau County Police Dept 1 516 573 7000 ask for Crimes Against Property Squad or the Nassau County Second Pct Detective Squad 1 516 573 6252,have all your info in a nice neat package in a timeline,all paperwork involved payment receipts,shipping paperwork,and e mails,or copies of messages from this site etc,you should get some satisfaction,be persistant.

Back to the top with this thread. Evis or Evan is now going by the name Chris Garealo, with the same cell phone number listed earlier in this thread. He sent me this number as well (914) 282-7534 and claims to live in "Upstate NY" which he said is White Plains, NY. He is trying to buy some W211 wheels and tires from me and send payment from his girlfriend's Paypal account. His user name is mbfan02, which needs to be deactivated.

Good old Chris answered the (516) 322-5768 number listed in this thread this morning and told me quickly that he was in a "meeting" and would call me back. His new email address, one of many I am sure, is clex771@yahoo.com.

Seemed strange that he wanted to send me the DHL shipping labels overnight and Paypal the funds over right away, of course from his girlfriends account. I am not sure if he planned on filing a claim with Paypal to get his money back right after I shipped the wheels, or maybe even say that he never rec'd them and get his money back. Either way, the whole deal smelled very fishy and with him answering the above cell number, it all adds up now. Please ban this little jerk immediately, even though we know he will show up again.

 

did you get a mailing address for him or any other info? i have a judgement against him i would like to follow thru with.

 

He won't send me his address as of yet. I am still working on that, but since I just called him on his cell phone, I have a feeling I won't hear from Chris again! If I do get it, I will certainly post it up!
