So I just got my new LED parking lights and...
#51
Finally got the Diamond Vision H7's in the mail. Installed those and the azn leds last night. It was a bit of a pain to install, especially the parking light on drivers side! Anyways, I installed them at night and they do look really good. I will put up some comparison shots soon.
This morning though, during my commute to work, the low beams did NOT turn off. My low beams are always off when driving in the daylight and they turn on as soon as I enter my parking garage at work. This did not happen after installing the new low beam and parking light LEDs.
Seems like the sensor that detects day light and turns off the low beams isn't working. I have the switch set to AUTO and I tried playing around with the settings but the low beams are staying on.
Anybody else experience this after installing the new lights?

I spent $52 total.
$19 for AZN leds

$19.50 (+$14 for shipping) for Philips DV H7

Here are some comparison shots I took on my iPhone. I'll try to upload some high quality ones later.

I agree! Dv are not blue at all. I'm figuring out why azn 5k LEDs looks alot more whiter blue on an e class comparing with the c class, the c class parking lights (before facelift) sits behind a metallic like lense, where the e class, parking lights are in a clear lens in fronts where u can actually see the LEDs itself. Polarg are not as bright but it matches.
Funny enough, I too came from a G37 coupe (but had a C300 4matic sedan in the interim). I do miss the keyless-go and xenon standard. Fortunately, my c300 had projectors, so a HID retrofit was easily possible, which appeased me. However, I did hate the lack of keyless-go.
This time around I MADE sure I got the lighting package (even sacrificed interior color) I wanted black, but they only had tan, and I figured since my brother is getting a white on black one anyway, it would be silly to get literally the EXACT same one, even though they are both white now (diamond and arctic).
As far as the drive, the c300 was no match for the g37 power from a dig, and I found myself modyifing the exhaust on the c300 to make-up for the less than inspiring exhaust tones that my G37 came with stock. However, overall, I enjoy diriving my c-class much better, it is so much more refined, braking is more confident, ride is smoother and you soon learn of some cool things that a mercedes does "behind the scenes" that other cars (Infiniti included simply don't).
Also, while this is probably because I had a 2008 G37S coupe with the 5-speed auto, it made the car somewhat doggish on the highway and not feel like the 330 HP beast it is. Where as the C300 had the 7-speed automatic (which normally wouldnt make a difference) but the mercedes transmission is able to enitrely SKIP a gear when downshifting, to put you RIGHT in the sweet spot range of 4000k+ when rolling. My 5-speed couldn't do this and I'm not sure about if the 7-speed newer infiniti transmissions can.
This resulted in my mercedes feeling just as fast, if not faster from a roll or when flooring it on the highway (that is, until you hit aobut 80/90 and it becomes a HP race). In fact, when I had a little unofficial race with a G37 on the service road, I kept up with him until about 80 (when starting from about 25/30) and then he started to pull away. Can't complain considering my c300 4matic only has 225 HP, 4matic and weighs much more than a RWD coupe with 330HP...
As far as the Philips Diamond Vision being too blue. It is just the picutres and/or cameras. Trust me, you WILL be satisfied with the color. It is rated at 5000k, which previous HID color temp is 4300k and mercedes has now switched to 5000k in newer models (cls, etc). So it is the SAME exact color as the new CLS bi-xenons.

ok....first things first....i have nothing against azn and the w5w 5000k led u sell. I saw pics and they look good. my only problem is price. (yes, i saw responses like u bought an mb, dont cheap out on the lights, etc...)
i think 19 bucks is just a bit much for just a few leds (i know how much they really cost, and yes i know they need to design them...etc...etc...). but 19 bucks for 2 led w5w seem to be too much of a profit margin for me (dont worry azn, you obviously have ur supporters and they are willing to pay the money.)
my question is more for people that bought w5w 5000k leds other than azn and can recommend where I can get cheaper ones (like the ones I saw on ebay) and also of quality, color output, etc...
thanks.

I bought a pair of cheaper LED before AZN's, they were garbage, flickering, no resistors, poor light output. $19 really isn't that much for LED... But if you are looking for something cheaper, just be sure that they have resistors so that they don't flicker and/or throw error codes. Also, I guarantee that none of those sellers have nearly anywhere as good of warranty or "good faith replacement" system like AZN. In my experience, you get what you pay for.
Also, I'd rather support a new forum member startup for $19, who has developed these specially for us, and will continue to develop new products. And also shows how to install them. Those EBay LED are much shorter, and so the chance of coming in contact with the resistor is much higher, causing excess heat and premature failure.
Can you probably find LED that are half the price that will get the job done - yes. Then go ahead, but IMO, its not worth it. If I were you, stay away from eBay led, the ones I had were garbage, perhaps try DDM or JDM or something?

My Phillips diamondvision blew out on the pass side headlight. IDK whether its because they were fake)bought off of eBay) or the overall quality on them sucks but the blue coating at the top of the bulb came off and it stopped working... Any advice as to where I should go from here.
They were on my car for maybe 2 months. It's not okay for them to blow out in such a short amount of time.

I had a problem with one of my AZN led's I installed. Stopped working after a few months due to most likely a defect with the led.
I reached out to AZN and he sent me a replacement right away, no hassle. Can't say that for the ebay sellers shipping out from China and other places overseas.

I see that AZN optics now has 4500k W5W bulbs. Has anyone tried those yet? I'm looking to eliminate the yellow tint of my stock low beam and parking lights. I was just wondering how the 4500k W5W would match with the Diamond Vision 5000k H7 bulbs or if they would be closer to the stock LED DRLs.

I did something similar last night when installing mine. I put the passenger side bulbs in first, it was much easier to get to, lol. I put the driver's side in, then went back to check the LED parking bulb on the passenger side to make sure it wasn't too hot. Just wanted to double check. When I pulled the connector, the LED came off, and stayed inside the hole in the headlight. I reached in to pull it out, and it was really hot, so I dropped it. Luckily it fell into the back side of the headlight. It still wasn't very easy to get to but, I was able to get it out with a screw driver and some needle nose pliers. Thanks to all those, for posting some valuable info in this thread. I have to say, the lights look much better, but I didn't see as much of an improvement in brightness from the DV H7s as I thought I would. Maybe I need to adjust them?

I can now vouch for the w5w 5000K as well. Very easy upgrade for anyone looking to get rid of the yellow. Also put in some crystal visions for my low beams. The lows, parking lights, and DRLs basically match now and I don't have any complaints while driving at night regarding light output.
Note about install: yes, it is a pain to get to the driver's side bulb caps, but I actually found the parking light much easier to install than the low beams. Initially I plugged both parking LEDs in upside down (just my luck, AZNOptics put a little note in the box reminding me that the LEDs look symmetrical but only worked when plugged in one direction), but after a quick flip they were up and running. I was hesitant to pull on the parking light wires to pop the bulbs out of the housing, but I did it any way and didn't break anything.
