I can't verify claims of how much HP/TQ the intake has created but I can definitely tell you with my JB+ set to 85% vs 60% (when BMS ships them) top-end is a little better with the intake and using "s" mode. This car felt like it hit a brick wall even with the tune at high-end. Highway pulls are a little better now.

I don't know what you are talking about hitting a brick wall, I live in Germany and drive the Autobahn weekly frequently hitting speeds of excess of 110 MPH and they car continues to climb with out hesitation, Sorry I just don't see what you guys are crying about,

I think when he said high-end he meant high RPM, not high-speed.

+1

I've taken the car past 135mph with no issues on the Autobahn as well.

I'm still going to get this though, lol.

Does the turbo spool quicker, hit harder, etc?

For you guys overboosting and throwing a CEL, what percent do you have the tune set at? I am not leasing this car so I want to be careful with it. I already got the intake and its awesome, looking in to buying the JB+

Major over boost at 80% still a tiny bit at 60%, the tune isnt that hardcore, i was told by the tuning shop that put it in that its not gonna hurt the engine

What do you mean limited to? Are you talking about the stuff that come with the sport package?

No I ment limited top speed, the governor, haha, if it's different with the sport package and adgility package, for example, when with BMW's you can get a package along with the M package that raises the top speed the cars computer allows the car to go (I'm sure you know what I'm talking about)

When I owned my CLK, it was limited to 133 mph, which is the speed rating of "H" rated tires. Check your tires.

Oh, my mistake then haha. I could've sworn I read somewhere or saw it in a review that it was locked at 130.

After having the tune and intake installed for a while now. I absolutely love it. Even though I have my tune set to around 80% I rarely ever get the overboost error. Between the car adapting to the extra power through the TCU learning system, and my ability to notice symptoms of overboost, I have pretty much eliminated its occurrence altogether.

What I have found is that if you have a "heavy" foot, with the accelerator pedal around 60-80% depressed, you will most likely hit overboost at higher tune levels. However, it doesn't happen all the time. I can feel a bit of a "rocking" of the power, it seems like there are spikes of pressure in the turbo when you have a heavy foot, as there is an influx of backpressure, then this influx keeps cycling around until overboost is reached. As such, when I feel this "rocking" motion, back and forth, I let off the throttle a bit, or just floor it WOT and I never hit overboost.

Definitely a must have mod, the tune for the feel, and the intake for the sound!

I have not gotten around to a 0-60 time, but I did do a quick race with my brothers 2005 Mustang GT convertible. I had about a full car length on him until 80mph when he caught up neck and neck, and then he overtook me at around 90mph. He said he forgot to disengage traction control which messed him up a little until about 3rd gear (he has a manual too - and had really good redline shifts). But regardless, I think that is a great result for a turbo 4cyl heavy turbo car vs a big block v8 mustang GT! As they say, there is no replacement for displacement, but heck, you sure can get close!

As for the speed governor, it is in place on the vehicle (at least my MBUSA spec). I hit it at 133mph, I believe this is because the standard O/E tire equipment is only rated for that speed, so as a safety measure, they prevent you from going faster then that in the U.S. Additionally, even traveling at 133mph can be dangerous, let alone going faster then that!

I'm JUST about to pull the trigger on this.

For those of you that have it for a while, have you taken your car in for maintenance? Did the dealer notice it or say anything?

I actually just took my car in for service. Nobody cared at all. And I also have the intake and tune. In fact, my sales guy even knows I have it, and my service advisor was asking me about it and was very interested. Will every other dealership's reaction be like this? I can't say for sure... but they can't void warranty unless they can definitely prove that the modifications caused the exact fault when a problem arises. So if your comand system bricks, they can't void warranty because you have an intake.

I just bought the intake and JB+ the other day should be here in a few days. Has anyone used the "sprint booster" in conjuction with the JB+ and intake. Throttle responce is a killer here and wanted to see what everyone's thoughts were on pairing all three together.

Petje, I read on the sprint booster web site that if you are a peddle masher (like me, I have prob red lined over 50 times, had the car for 3 days) you won't notice much of a difference. But even when I mash the peddle down there is still a lag. I am hesitant to drop the $300 on sprint becaue I just dropped the 400 and change for the JB+ and intake. Also, I just need to include my notorious rant on the PADDLE SHIFTERS!!! They are useless...WHY INCLUDE THEM ON THE CAR?>???
