C Class Coupe Mudflaps 125 Edition / AMG Mud Flaps

Hi guys,

I have just seen that there are mud flaps now available for the new C Class Coupe W204
They only fit the 125 Edition / AMG kitted coupe vehicles.
You can get them painted to match Merc paint colours

aka "splash guard". protects against rocks/debris/water getting thrown up from tires to side of your car.

These things look sooo! sexy but do they really work. I have the genuine MB flaps on my CLK in black hard rubber & they fit perfectly & can stand rocks being thrown at them all day. They are somewhat deeper & stop stone chipping of paintwork behind wheels on rough roads.

Awesome - will do, looking forward to seeing what the rears look like

These things are great and serve a very useful function, I have them on another one of my vehicles and after 8 years, the rear and lower side panels of this car are still blemish free otherwise it would be chipped and scratched to the buggery, I'm of the idea that if they detract in a major way the look of the vehicle, then one could use them only when required, eg. long country/rough road trips only

Instead of the mud flaps, I put some 3M plastic in the lower bottom panels, behind the wheels.
They did it at the same time as the clear bra in front.

Hi mis3

Yes I'm aware of this kind of modification and alot of it is done as OEM as well, eg. I have a Mazda 3 which has it in some places of the lower sill sections and I have a close friend with a BMW 135i who's installed it over his front bar.

Problem is I've seen cases (including my Mazda) where it begins to turn 'yellowish' after a few years and the edges pic up a distinct dark line which exposes it unlike when it was new it is totally invisible - that is of course if you have a light colour duco vehicle, you wouldn't notice it on dark colours.

I still prefer the nicely moulded/looking mud flaps shown above, the other advantage is stone dedris will not cause damage with the flaps, the clear film can still be scuffed and chipped by flying stone debris

Also still awaiting for a response from warren2024 on these TIA.

I have had mudflaps on my car for about 2 months, and it is amazing just how much cleaner the lower panels keep with mudflaps attached, I wouldn't go without them.

Hey Warren, Can you please do me a favour and take a picture of your entire car? I would really like to see how the mud flaps look as part of the whole picture.

Thanks

Nice, I'm definitely up for a set for my new coupe

These are definitely a goer if like myself it'll be a long term ownership deal for the car as it'll remain blemish free in the lower sections.

As said earlier they can even be used as an on/off addition depending on where the car will be used, if they spoil the look of the vehicle at all

Did you end up getting them? If so I'd be interested in your feedback as I'm seriously thinking of getting some after my weekend road trip.

I've had them for quite a while, and if you can ignore my rear doors, take a look! They certainly help reducing blowback onto the lower sides of the car. I hand wash my car and the difference became immediately apparent after I installed them.

2013 C250 Sport Coupe
I just got mudflaps for my 2013 C250 Sport Coupe from UK Cart Mats in the UK and they look great. I had them painted Polar White to match the color of my car. The cost about $190 US but well worth it. I order them on January 16th and just received them on March 19th, so plan to wait patiently for them.

Apologies DL250 I've lost track of this thread and did not respond to the above question, but no not as yet.

I still want to get a set, luckily I havn't yet done a long distance Country treck where I'd be dealing with loose gravel roads otherwise those mud guards would have to be fitted

I'll probably still stick to the idea of fitting them up only when required (such as the aforementioned Country trips) and leave them off the rest of the time - will only know for sure when I get a hold of them and seeing how well or not they appeal to me when mounted on the vehicle
