What tires did your Coupe come with?

I just picked up my car two weeks ago. It is a C350 with the Advanced Agility control package. It has Pirelli P Zero Nero tires which are Ultra High Performance all season.

Several other C Coupes on dealers lot have Continental Sport Contact IIIs.

That is a considerably more expensive and probably better performance tire.

Did I get screwed? Are there others out there with Pirellis?

Thoughts?

My C250 came with Conti ContiPremiumContact's. Good LRR tire for fuel efficiency. Switched out to 19's after 1 month. CSC3's will wear out much quicker, so it really depends on your dry grip requirements.

My car came with Michelin tires - VERY happy. (Base rims).

My brother's coupe came with the continental tires on his ///AMG rims. NOT happy, at just over 1,000 miles tire has a small 1/2" gash on the inner sidewall and is flat and not repairable... Crap tires IMO, never had a problem with any of my Michelin tires of this brand (had them for 45,000 miles on my c300 before off lease - with tons of tread life left) and now 5,000 miles on the coupe.

mine had 7 spokes originally, with continentals, not the Sport Contact 3's though, and I hated them. Swapped for the AMG wheels with the Pirelli Tires and I love them. Grippier, meatier, and better tread pattern.

Got Pirelli's P-Zero Nero all seasons on 18 inch AMG rims. Close to 10k km now and i love them. A bit noisy, but the performance makes it worth it...

Conti SportContact III
I've got the 5 spoke 18" AMG rims. The tyres are very quiet.

All of you guys who's got the Continental SportContact III, was your car RWD or AWD? I wonder if that's how MB determines what tires to fit on 18's. Or is it the Advanced Agility? I want to figure out how I can get summer tires when I order my 2013 C350. I wonder if it's same for the sedan/coupe too. I had a 2008 C350 with all-seasons on standard 17'' rims and I couldn't make it up my driveway in the winter. Not going through the same thing again. I am getting summer and winter tires with my next RWD car.

unfortunately i ended up with the continental pro contacts tires... i hate the look of the rounded sidewall with the busy tread design (looks cheap).

before taking delivery i asked the dealer to switch rims and tires with a 4 door in stock that offered the pirelli pzero nero tires (after much discussion with the service dept... a no go).

i really prefer the look of the pirelli for it’s a more performance oriented looking tire all around.

my car is a C250 (rear wheel drive) with the optional 18 double spoke amg rims.
