What do you think about this lease on a c250 coupe?
Hi guys, I want your input on a lease a dealer gave me. I went into a MB dealership here on the east coast and the sales person gave me this lease:
2013 c250 coupe (loaded: navi + more)
36-month lease, 10K mile/year
MSRP: $44,510
Offer Price: $41,839
Monthly payment: $417/month
Total down (including tax, DMV registration, 1st month payment): $6,218
No conquest incentive
Any thoughts? I think the total down is very high. What do you think?

Yea, I think that's a lil high. My Lease is as follows. 2012 C350 W/ Command Launch pkg Harmon sound system/ alum trim 18" amg. Missing only lighting and leather pkg. Love the MB tex by the way.
Retail $45,215 Leased for $42,370.
Term: 42 Months
Miles: 12k per year
Down: $3091.00
Monthy: $435
I purchased it last September. It was one of two that Mercedes of Manhattan had. I'm paying only $5 bucks more than what i was paying for my fully loaded g37xs Sedan lease that i turned in. You have to haggle with them. They start so damm high in the negotiating process that they make you feel like you got a good deal when their still ripping you off. I'm sure they still ripped me off. Just shop around and make sure u compare apples to apples.

That down is high as hell. Don't do it.
Mine:
$44k msrp
$41k lease
$453 for 36 months
about $900 down (for fees and 1st month payment)
Try to find a "car broker" to do the work for you.

Today I went to the dealership again to do the test drive. What a great car guys. Drive awesome, minimal road noise, and I especially like the Navi - it zooms in and out when needed. The acceleration is very good and I have no problem passing cars on the freeway. Since this time I picked one with a different MSRP, the sales gave me another quote:
MSRP: $45,970
Final Price: $43,212 (6% off MSRP)
Total down including tax & registration: $4,916
36-month lease with 10k/year
$452/month

Not worth it. I would never have gotten the C250 if it was more than $400 a month. Also Never put money down, it's wasteful and you'll never get that back. The residuals and money factor is what you have to watch for, also the purchase price.
I'm paying $370.01
MSRP: $42,550
Negotiated purchase price: $37,798
Total due at sign: $1700 which included bank fee, first month and other inception fee's
24 Month lease, 10k
I have P1, comand launch package, backup camera, burl walnut trim, iridium silver

Best chance of getting deal: Find a car broker in your area. A broker is able to find the best deals for all dealers around your area. After broker gives you some quotes, make appointment with the Fleet Manager of a dealer. He will is able to get you the best price without having to "get approval" from anyone.
For a c250 coupe of $45970msrp, tell him that you have a broker and would like to see if he can beat their price. What ever he says tell him you will think about it. Leave dealer, call your broker and see if you broker can beat fleet manager's price.
In my case, I told the fleet manager $430 and $1000 down for a $44k MSRP coupe. He countered $453 and ~$1000 down. I said okay let me think about it. Then I told my broker about this and broker was able to get me $453 and $~890 down (fees and 1st month payment).
Some brokers charge a fee and others just make commision off of the sale. Mine made commission off of sale so it was beneficial for him to give me a higher price so I had to make sure to negotiate with him too (ie: seeing if he can beat fleet manager price).
What area do you live in? I can recommend a broker if you are in southern california.
edit: I also had $2000 off msrp with Competitor Discount.

I paid $1500 + first month down for a C350 and your payment is identical to mine.
Granted that mine is only a 2 year lease and i got the Competitor discount....like others have mentioned you should aim for close to nothing down and shoot for $400 or under for your monthly. That price is way to high for a 250.

Thanks guys for all the tips on pricing and leasing. After some calculations I realize it's not worth doing the lease now on a C250 coupe since the 2012s are all gone and the 2013s are too expensive for now. So I decided on a CPO Audi A5 Cabriolet instead. I still love the C250 coupe and maybe I will pick one up later!
Again, thank you guys as I would have gotten ripped off if you folks didn't give me the tips.

2013 c250 coupe sounds interesting but $44,510 isn't much high for it? Actually I browsed many websites and I got a website TTCars.Net where many Cheap Mercedes-benz C class Cars are available. of-course its pre owned cars but is like new and its affordable to my pocket. Please do inform if any cheap deal rather than your current deal.

My car is a C350 btw, not a 250. I currently have 6500 miles. Also have prepaid maintenance up til 20,000 miles.
