Side Markers
Is there anyone who knows where to buy painted side markers and/or has any suggestions for tinting them black? I took them off and tried wrapping them in tail light tint film but it was too thick. I don't really want to plastidip them because it doesn't match the color of the car.

Yeah I have worked with vinyl in the past, I recently wrapped my friends BMW steering wheel trim in carbon finer vinyl, and that's the only type i have right now, I have to order some black vinyl, thanks for the tip!
Additionally, you could buy osme white plastidip and spray over them, then just peel it off when you want to sell the car. One can could easily cover both sidemarkers, and more, and its only $5-6 per can... The white plastidip isn't a perfect match, but its a pretty good match to our paint color. And you can even use glossifier to make it non-matte.
Very easy to replace... At least on my prior 2009 C300. You simply access it form the wheel well. Remove the black plastic wheel well liner with three plastic clips. Then there is a simple torx screw to remove from the back of the sidemarker, and two more plastic clips and it comes right out. I don't suspect that the 2012 re-design changed the install/uninstall process much...

Another option you have is to get a set of new painted markers from Evosport.com CA. Just tell them the color code of your car and they will provide you with new OEM painted markers.
I ordered a set of Pre-Painted Bumper Reflectors for my C250 Coupe in Magnetite Black Metallic (colour code 183) and paid $149 for both plus $22 for shipping.

I had my CLK ones painted at the local body shop. Cost was around $50 for me. Make sure you have them sand off the letters first so that it's nice and smooth.
What did you guys do about the light? I left mine in there and you can faintly see the light behind the paint when it's on. It looks kind of odd but I don't want to mess with the light in fear of that stupid error on the dash.

what about using a canbus LED's and break them by snapping the actual LED.

I tried Lamin-X on mine, didn't like it. The film is great stuff that I've used many times in the past but the curvature of the lens makes it difficult to wrap. I then tried spray tint and wasn't happy with that either.
I just can't believe no one has made smoked ones yet.

I used the tint film from Oracle. It requires a little stretching around the edges so that it doesnt lift.
