And to fit it you need to modify the car a little you can check this thread https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-c...r-upgrade.html

However since you are from Cyprus and your climate is on the hot side the bigger intercooler might give you some better cooling and even better if you tune your car ECU.
I have done a REVO stage 1 tune and for the 2nd stage i need a bigger intercooler for sure. . You have right about Cyprus, this is what i was thinking about.

Hey 190, great thread!

Any word on the downpipe and cat?

I have just fitted the Carlsson piggyback and intercooler and am now looking at downpipes. I am leaning towards kleeman but it is so expensive. I would be very interested in getting in on a group purchase.

What news about performance increases from the BMS intake? I'm just running the K&N filter right now but I am looking into a handful of options including the BOCA cold air intake, BMS intake and a serious modification of my own using the K&N apollo unit.

Have you found out about A45 turbo and injector fitment?

Keep up the good work, this thread is inspiring me to empty my bank account

That just simply looks like a flat tyre - maybe that's why its at that work garage to get fixed...

Run flats look exactly the same externally as other non-run flat tyres, it's the internal make up and lack of pressurised air keeping them pumped up that's different

If you're looking for more power, only thing that will make a real noticeable diff is an upgraded turbo. The stocker is pretty much maxed out at factory boost levels. You may be able to pick up some low end torque and some mid range but not much up top unless you upgrade the turbo. No one makes a real tune for the motor either so computer is always fighting you trying to make power. Lost of cosmetic stuff you can do though.

That's a good question and probably why this 1.8lplatform has stagnated. Most tuners have abandoned efforts and focus on the 2.0L in the CLA/A class. Way more potential for tuning. There was one guy in china who supposedly upgraded the stock turbo internals. In any case I've never seen any dyno #'s, Track #'s, or even acceleration video which leads me to believe gains are minimal.

I gave up on the built as the ECU hasn't been cracked yet. KCPerformance did some research on the turbo an is able to rebuild it with a billet wheel. But I wasn't going to install it because I'm selling the car and going for a W212 E350CDI.

You can always get a hybrid turbo and water methanol kit from KCPerformance.

When it comes to power mods this platform is a non starter. People have done many mods but it never runs any quicker if you track the car. You only pickup mid range and torque. My wife still has her C250, but she could care less about horsepower. If it were for me I would have gotten the 63. There are enough used W204 63's on the market at a fair price that if you want more than cosmetic upgrades, you might as well get the 63.

It's easy to say just get a C63.... The cost to own one is about 10 Times more than a C Class 250,300,350. Double the gas, tires last you nothing if you drive like you stole it, a break job can cost you thousands of dollars if you can't DIY and don't forget that AMG = we are going to change you a ridiculous price just because you drive an AMG.

I was looking to buy an E55 and the advice I was given was.... $$$$ can add up quickly. modding and cost to own repairs.

Don't get me wrong I think anyone would love to jump in a C63, but make sure you do your research! and you don't make a bad financial decision hahaha! and if your the modding type it will defiantly cost you a pretty penny.

My wife averages about 22-23mpg in the C250. 63 can manage 15-20. Both use premium so not much a diff. Hmmm 22mpg and 160whp, or 19 mpg and 402whp. Kind of a wash in my book. Yes wear items are more expensive, but you can leave it stock and still have great power, or just flash and exhaust put you over 500hp. I'm speaking on those who want real performance. C300, 350 are ok but will be pricey to get anywhere near the 63's power

I think a lot of buyers got the C250 figuring that with a turbo, it would be easily tunable. Hell, when I bought my wife's c250 which I drive occasionally, I thought it was fairly under powered. No biggie, a flash will wake it right up. Wrong! In comparison you can take an Audi A4, or S4, S3 and turn them into monsters with just a flash, exhaust and other tweaks. C250 not so much. they feel peppy around town but lack any real power IMO. Still a great handling platform and a joy to drive if acceleration isn't your priority. The C250 does what it is supposed to do, delivers a pleasant driving experience without threatening it's big brothers in the power dept, gotta maintain the hierarchy!

so if the acceleration lag was fixed you'd be happier with the C250? you knows theres a solution for the lag?

Varient throttle coding!!!

Lag gone, my lag is ZERO. The problem is finding someone who can do it hahaha.

Ya BMW, Audi are defiantly easier to tune and make into better preforming cars. BUT the looks and interiors don't come close, well in my opinion. a 2012 BWM interior looks the same as my old 1998 850 Volvo hahaha.

First off I’ll introduce myself. I am Niels, 27y old and I work as a sales manager in a car parts store in Belgium, where I live. I have been active on this forum for some while. Most of the time in the W203 forum.

I have a W201 190d EVOIII project/show car. Was also featured in a Mercedes Tuner magazine (I'm waiting for the car to be considered an old-timer for the Belgian technical inspection so I can legally do an engine swap)

And a W203 C200cdi. Daily driver/ring toy. Will also be featured in Mercedes Tuner magazine. My dad bought the car from me.

I bought the C204 because I love the lines of the car and the facelift nose. I chose a 250cgi because I have been driving diesels my whole life and wanted a gasoline engine now. From my point of view this engine is easily tunable because of its turbo. In Belgium it is forbidden to tune an engine. So it isn't that noticeable that my car is tuned when it already has a turbo. I didn't buy a C350 or C63 because the price of the car, taxes and gasoline is to *******g high here in Belgium! You can get a C63 in the US for the price you get a C250 cgi here.

I bought the car in July and I have been loving it since then. First mod I did was the Burger Motorsports air filter. I did this just for the sound. I know it will suck in more hot air now.

Second mod was a C63 style grill with distronic star (from Superstyling.eu on Ebay) and replace my D1S xenon bulbs with 6000k replacements.

(Behind the C204 you can see my beater Opel Rekord E1 2.3d)

Since 12 November my car has been staying at Eisenmann research & development and to produce the a quad exhaust for the C250cgi and get it homologated. They are still working on the CAD drawings and calculating the sound. They told me that they have a difficult time getting a great sound from the engine. Probably because it's a turbo I4...

I will pick up my car in 2.5 weeks and then it will probably stay at the KW factory for research and development for the first KW DDC ECU coil over kit for the C250cgi and to get the kit homologated.

I have already been discussing with a known Saab tuner in the Netherlands to tune my car. We have agreed on a custom intercooler, oil catch can, reworked turbo, A45 AMG injectors, custom downpipe with race catalyst and a custom mapping. After that I will take a look on what brakes and wheels to get.

That brings us to today. I will keep you guys posted with the updates that Eisenmann will give me. When I receive my car I will record a clip to show you the exhaust note.
can you kindly update me on what you are doing?? because i want to do the same
