Also agree Blickling on the Michelin tyres, I too plan on adopting these when I eventually get a set of custom wheels for my coupe.

They are available in the correct size/s to suit 19's

@Blickling: I learned measuring for the right wheel size on my W203. Every wheel was hitting my caliper! So I measured allot for the right offset and I believe it was ricecooker (red C350 coupe with airride) who fitted a set of W221 S63 wheels with the same dimensions. I don't know if you can get them in the stock sizes... I have wintertires on my stock wheels so didn't bother looking.

@dav461: I will try making a DIY with pictures for the filter and for an oil and oilfilter change this weekend or wednesday.

@AV1: What wheels are you getting? I received my wheels, tyres will be deliverd on monday. I have to see the wheels on the car. If I don't like them, I will probably sell them.

Did an oil change in the weekend so I took some pics of my downpipe with 200 cell kat and deleted OEM resonator and my intercooler.

The blue hoses will be replaced with black hoses. As you can see, the intercooler lines up with the bottom of the front bumper. So I still need to make a cover to replace the OEM plastic bottom cover.

I'm working on getting some intercoolers and downpipes with 200 cell kat's made.

I will copy my post from the 250vs350 topic to draw a better picture of the situation here in Belgium and why I made these choises.
"So I did some calculation on the Mercedes US and Mercedes Belgium website. A C250, with the same options, costs $53.129 in the US and in Belgium $75.745... And I'm not even talking about taxes, first registration, insurance and gasoline prices in Belgium. A C350 is roughly $10.000 more than a C250. Then I'd rather have a tuned C250 cgi (I love tuning and working on my cars) then a C350 which is also more expensive in taxes and insurance. I can afford a C350. But I just like tuning my car and I don't like giving the government my money.

So for the price of a C250 cgi in Belgium, I can get an C63 AMG in the US... So this 250vs350 hating is just stupid... Every person has to look if he wants to spend that amount of money, where he lives and if he loves tuning cars. This thread was made to compare the cars. Not the owners...."

So now that the elephant is out of the room (and me making an off topic comment in my own topic :-s ) I can talk about my project.

The fact that I get these opportunities to work with big manufacturers of tuning parts is because of my job. We are dealers for these brands so I have some contacts there. The second fact is that the C250 is fairly new, so there are not many parts out there and even lesser with the homologations I need for Belgium. So I hope that they get to producing the parts quickly after the mock up and homologation is done so you guys can also order them and fit them to your cars. I will also put some reviews of the parts installed on my car.

Pickup date for my car is the 10th December at Eisenmann. And then straight to the KW factory until 21 December.

At first i wanted to go with Bilstein (I had a B16 PSS9 set on my W203 and love it!) . But they aren't really looking into a sollution for the W/C/S204's with the electronic dampening. So i went with KW. I noticed their customer service is also better then Bilstein.

I drive a 350 coupe and I agree with your comment....drive what you want, I don't care

Love the blue hoses...

Not because I particularly like them in blue but it reminds me so much of my gfs twin turbo Supra that we dropped off at her mechanics with a new bigger intercooler and a heap of pipes and blue hoses.

Almost makes me wish I had a turbo car

It''s just so interesting all the little bits and pieces that go into making it a weapon.

I'll be very interested to hear your performance feedback from the install and whether there is much in the way of significant HP gains or whether it is just better breathing for the whole system.

@nomoremustang: Glad to hear that you agree!

@Blickling: I have mixed feelings about the blue hoses :-D But I will probably put some black ones in. Sounds like that Supra is a beast! I can always help with turning your car into a turbo car ;-) I haven't had the time to dyno the car :-( It will probably perform better but once it is mapped it will give more effect.

190Benz - More info on downpipe please...I reread your posts and you didn't say much about the downpipe and performance. I am curious, after adding the exhaust and downpipe, the released air flow should be greatly improved. How much improvement was the downpipe. Most turbo cars gain a nice hp+tq numbers from downpipes and I am hoping the downpipe you added, did just that.

Your thoughts on downpipe upgrade?

If you are willing to ship your car, I can get the guys who are working on my car to do a custom job for your car. I'm probably going to work for them so I would make sure that they deliver a top notch job

We should definitely talk further!

That's unreal! If I was going forced induction, I'd probably prefer if possible a supercharger for my coupe, like you can get on C63, M3 etc. Squeeze one of those into my engine bay?

Sorry to hijack your thread 190 but you're the most competent person I know for Benz modding information.

I recently came across this website and brand Vath who seem to do a lot of specialised things for our cars. In particular the fuel cooling device is of particular interest to me, but I'm not technically minded enough to work out whether it's any good. I was wondering if you could take a look and give me some feedback.

Here's a link

Hi guys! My apologies for not posting anything for a long time. Had some busy couple of weeks with work, Tuningworld Bodensee, boxing,...

I have the Brabus Monoblock wheels and put tires on. I wanted to put them on, but the bolts were to short. So I used the bolts of my brothers Mercedes Vito. They fit but were to long for the rear... I ordered a set of McGard bolts and fitted the wheels. But the front tires are rubbing at bit to much :-( I will be getting them milled down a bit to get a higher offset.

I also had a set of 18's that were pretty worn. My dad wanted to put them on his W203 so I had a little fun with them ;-) Did some burnouts and drifts. Then noticed that I ****ed my front left fender with the Brabus wheels!!!! :-( Started hammering them back at home and bended the inner lip back. Did a pretty good job! Later that evening I thought to myself that I would try to roll the lip further to get a better clearance. As it cooled down outside I tried bending it more and cracked the *******g paint!!!! So I am getting my fender painted and my wheels milled down. Also helps getting a bit lower in front.

I also plastidipped my grill, drl, trunk emblem and chrome. And did this al without ****ing my car up...

To make matters worse, I was cruising and enjoying the lovely (late) good weather. A car passed me and projected some rocks at my car... Cracked my windscreen and the glass roof between the windshield and sliding sunroof. *******g great! That sh*t was cracked like... something that is cracked really badly!!! (help me out on a great reference guys :-p) It had a hole in it so I had to tape it up so rain would not get in. Forgot to take a pic of the hole as I wanted to tape it closed as quick as possible.

Called my insurance and the stealership to fix this. They told me it would take 2 days. I dropped my car of and later that day they called that it was already fixed. As I was working I couldn't pick up my car until the next day. Next day I went to pick it up. Glad to see my car in better shape. Got in my car and saw that my windshield is still cracked. *insert swearing* got back into the dealership and got mad. They told me that my insurance didn't tell them to replace it. But I told my insurane to send a thumbs up to replace the roofpiece AND windshield and I called the dealership myself to get it replaced. They even said that they would order the windshield.... So I left the dealership with my half-fixed car. Called my insurance and they tell me that they told the dealership to replace both. So I'm stuck in the blame game of 2 companies that make money on me. Got pissed of and this wednesday they will replace my windshield. I'm pretty bummed out at the moment with all the setbacks.

And still no news on the ECU and turbo upgrade. I will be checking into this next weekend.

@Blickling: Fuel cooling sure helps. But I would only do this if you are going to mod more stuff. Fuel cooling alone will not really be noticeable. I think you will be better of with water methanol injection (sounds more dangerous then it is). This just sprays in a mixture to lower your intake temperature. So making your air denser, giving more HP. I will, 90% sure, be doing this to my car. Do some research on it and find a shop/mechanic to help you with it.

@Knightmare69: I have new clips on my GoPro but still have to convert and upload them. My apologies.

Nice you finally got the 20" Brabus Bullet wheels on, looks very tough !!!

Great work as usual with the pics and work above during your oil change

Water methanol injection is a very good addition if installed and working properly and quite common too, good to see someone's trying it out with a C Coupe.

It's been used for decades, I used water/methanol injection on one of my cars like 30 years ago and it helped in a big way - it made more power and also cleaned up all the carbon deposites as well

@AV1: Yes, the wheels look nice. Very aggresive! I am still going to modify the wheels and my fenders to go a little lower in front without ruining my fenders. Yeah, not many people are using water methanol injection because it sounds dangerous, but it has been around a very long time and has proven itself many times. I like the concept of it and i'ts an easy upgrade.

@skat004: Thanks!

I have only one cat. It's a universal one that KCPerformances uses. Are you interested in one?

Yes, I am. Because I am looking to buy one now.
Comparing 100 CELL and 200 CELL. I am afraid that in 100 CELL I will get error.

@dav461: I am working on a groupbuy with KCPerformance for 10 downpipes. I'll keep you posted.

So... I'm back. Still very busy so not much time to do serious upgrades on my car. I did some smaller ones.

First one is a new grill. I never like the oem 2012 avantgarde grill. That's why I swapped it as quick as possible for a C63 fake grill with distronic star. But I'm not really a fan of the big star. So I ordered a new 2012 W204 classic grill.

Offcourse it's a direct fit. Look cleaner. But I am a fan of the blacked out look. So I taped my grill up to see how it would look.

Fitted it again. Looks nice imho! I have it crapped flat black now. But I will get it painted the same color as my car.

But the problem with this grill is that there isn't a distronic version of it like on the W212,W221,... So I made a little cover for the distronic just in case.

Made a mock-up version of the cover.

Seached around in our stock to see if I had something with the same dimensions. Found a little plastic box that could be modified to fit. Worked like a charm! Doesn't give any errors.

Second update is a little carbon fiber.

Some more carbon ****!

The diffuser is really high quality! Very light and very sturdy at the same time. The C63 brackets for the diffuser can be swapped over for the installation.

The installation however is a pain in the ***... But the fault lies with Mercedes. It's a stupid way to keep a diffuser in a bumper. I wanted to take more pictures but pushing in those tabs was harder then I thought. You can probably get it done quicker if you release the exhaust dampners out of the rubbers so you can apply pressure when sandwiching the bumper and diffuser. There were some moments when I thought that I cracked the diffuser but it's really high quality! I love it!

I haven't taken any pictures of it on the car... I will try to take some pictures this evening.

The third update and a little write up of the new A-class (I had to pleasure to drive one for a week) and my vacation will be for next week.

Little preview of our trip!

Your car looks very mean with that grille! Reminds me of that angry Brabus C63 that's quite modded. Other road users will start to be afraid...

Goes nicely with the wheels! Very nice!

Btw your KW coilovers are starting to haunt me at night. Damn I want that suspension.
