Performce Parts

Hey everyone I am new to MB and am currently looking to either get a C250 or C350. I have aways had a forced injection car. Two turbos and one supercharged. I would like to be able to tastefully mod this car. Nothing wild and crazy but I am having the hardest times finding parts. Can you point in a place to look? What are some companies that specialize in MB parts? Thanks for you time

I think you meant to say forced induction lol. And WORLD Motorsports is working on a prototype intercooler and downpipe for the C250.

Sherwin that is what I meant thank you. With that intercooler is it going to be a front mount? If so will those basic tuners like JB+ be able to handle that?

C250 Coupe
Yes it's going to be a huge front mount. JB+ won't support it but if you want to spend around $3500, the same company will do an open source tune.

I guess i am justed used to having a car and a plethera of aftermark parts. Turbo back set up, intake, intercooler, fuel system. Is it because the cars are newer or not in high demand for these parts? Also the intake that is out how come its not a full hard pipe? And does anyone know whaty it is ran to sit where it does?

Hahaha we're in the same boat. It's a mix between our cars being too new and the very small market for aftermarket parts. Another reason that its so difficult to mod these cars (i.e. in the case of the dp) is because these cars aren't meant to be "tuners" so they don't make bolt on parts. From what I hear, the dp is welded to the turbo. The BMS intake is the only one out at this point and I have it. It's pretty good as far as sound goes but doesn't do much performance wise IMO.

2012 C350 Black with Red Leather, 1973 911
Forget the c250

Just buy the c350 and forget those costly mods to a c250. The c350 will give you 100 more hp and larger brakes and it sounds like a v8 for just a few dollars more.
Why do all these mods on a 4cyl that will endup sounding like one of those tuner civics. Drive the c350!!

The C250 is lighter, more fuel efficient, cheaper on insurance, and has better lease promotions. In other words it's smarter economically, but yes, I do agree that the C350 is a better value.

I think this is an extremely biased response. Firstly, the mods for the 250 are not that expensive. For $300 I have a C250 that goes 0-60 in 5.8 seconds - just as fast as a C350; pay less for insurance, better fuel economy and not to mention, you can only get the Sports Package Plus on the C250 - which actually gives it better specs than a C350.

And no, the C250 4cylinder sounds nothing like a Honda Civic, even with aftermarket exhaust. It sounds as close to a Civic as the C350 sounds to a "v8" So basically, the C250 could definitely be a better choice, unless 4Matic is a must for you.

On the main screen where it shows the various threads. You'll see a button on the top left that says "New Thread". It will allow you to create a new thread which you title and can type your question. However, I suggest that you first use the search feature to see if your question has already been asked before and if the answer exists. Or also, post within that thread if the question has already been asked to refine it - so that others searching for the answer to the same question can also be helped.
