Damn Raccoons...
This is what happens when you hit a raccoon at 60 mph. It doesn't look bad, but it broke my left DRL lense, pushed the actual unit all the back into the bumper and caused the bumper to pop out the top. The lower left corner of the bumper also has bend marks (like if you bend carboard). Luckily, I have insurance since I have to get a new bumper, light and grill.

It probably weighed at least 10-15 lbs. What do you think would happen if you hit that at 60 mph? You are lucky it wasn't worse.

if it wasnt for the bumper being bent in the corner (i cant see it in the pic) id say pop the bumper back in and replace the DRL. really not bad at all considering the last time i hit a racoon it cracked my S2000 lip in half and broke my grille off the bottom of the bumper as it pushed the entire thing into the condenser...

That's what I was thinking, too except when I pushed the bumper back in, you can see a bigger gap on that side then the other. You can't see it there, but that side of the car, including headlight, is about a 1/8 to 1/4" lower. The good news is, they're going to redo my vinyl wrap. The bad news is, I have to re plasti-dip my grill.

My car is in the shop now and they have to paint a new bumper for it, I'm curious how the shop is going to match the paint to my car? Do they get the exact codes for Arctic White or do they mix at what they think looks best? Also, doesn't MB use a special type of paint that's harder so it's more scratch resistant? I'm just nervous since this isn't coming from MB. Thanks for any help.
