2012 C350 coupe
Considering a 2012 C350 coupe, looking for opinions and input

Today I went to look at a 2012 C350 coupe that I'm considering trading my 2008 C350 sedan in on. My current car is a C350 4matic, loaded pano roof etc.

The coupe is a C350 non 4matic, silver with red leather, pano roof, front and rear parking sensors, sport button, paddle shifters, heated seats, piano black trim, lane keep assist, blind spot monitors, attention assist, but it doesn't have keyless go which my car does have. I'm just trying to figure out if theres any other options that were available that this car is missing.

The coupe has the M276 3.5 while my car has the M272 3.5, power difference is noticeable in the M276s favour but I also noticed that the M276 doesn't feel as silky smooth as the M272 does in my car, is this a known thing or is there something potentially going on with this car?

Other than that I really really liked and am leaning towards it but It's just hard trying to figure out option packages etc.

Thanks for any input or personal experiences etc.

I also posted this in the W204 forum as I didn't see there was a coupe specific forum until now.

I saw your post first in the W204 (sedan) section first and replied to you there...

I have a '13 C350 4Matic coupe. Besides the keyless go, another major and very desirable option is the Lighting Package that included Bi‑Xenon headlamps with Active Curve Illumination and Adaptive Highbeam Assist, and Headlamp washing system.

I have no basis of comparison for the smoothness of the M272 vs. M276 but they are considerably different engines from a mechanical perspective. For example, the M272 engines have a 90° vee angle and balance shaft is installed in the engine block between the cylinder banks to deal with vibrations in the 90 degree V6 design, vs the M276 engine which is a direct injected with a 60 degree vee-angle, that eliminates the need for a balance shaft, improving refinement while reducing mechanical complexity.

Also, I can tell you I really like my '13 C350 4Matic coupe and I have had not problems with it so far at 26K miles.

I have had no issues with my 2013 C350 coupe, with no visits to the dealer for warranty issues. I have retrofitted several OEM items, including Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Assist, power folding rear view mirrors, Convex exterior mirror glass, and Intelligent Lighting System. I ordered the car new with almost every factory option that was available for the MY2013. I would very much recommend the C350.

I'm here looking at it right now and it has a big oil leak at the back of the passenger side head and it seems like it needs an engine mount, I think I'm going to pass. It does have the hids, Lane keep assist, blind spot assist etc, seems like the only thing it doesn't have is keyless go.

Just an update, I did end up buying it with an extended warranty and the oil leak and engine mount are going to get taken care of. So far I love it, definitely a nice upgrade over my 08 C350 sedan (which I loved).

Congrats on your purchase! IMO an extended warranty is a "must have" with these cars due to the cost of parts and repairs.

Thanks!

It goes to the dealer next Saturday for a software update recall for the fuel system and a good going over.

Here's a pic of it for now, I'm still torn on the black wheels.
