Paddle shift green numbers?

SOLVED: Paddle shift green numbers?
When in D and paddle shifting, I note that numbers appear next to the shift in the Multifunction screen. At these numbers telling us how long we can remain in manual shift?

Numbers? as in like a 1-7? Those are what gear you're currently in. There's no limitation on how long you can remain in manual.

I think the OP is asking about suggested shift up/down indicators when in manual

Is that what those numbers signify? How so? I know the gear shift numbers, but it is the colored numbers that appear (and then decrease to the point of disappearing) that I am questioning.

Gave this a try just recently, and the only numbers that appeared for me (in green) was the shift indicators.
They disappear if you are in the recommended gear, or if the system goes back to D mode.

That's assuming it's those green numbers we are talking about?

OK, took a better look at what was happening:
Paddle to M7 from M6, and a green number 17 appears immediately tot he right of M7. Down shift to M6 and a green number 16 appears?????

I think 16 would be "arrow up" + 6?

Good try, dbajeha, but I don't thing so. These green numbers also decrease (e.g., 17>16>15...). Perhaps some indication of time???

Ok weird, i have up & down arrows, indicating whether it's recommended to down or upshift, followed by the gearnumber.
Maybe there is something wrong with your display?

Kudos to bdajeha...problem solved. Had a chance today to take a closer look the greenies; and yes indeed, the "1s" were really arrows indicating the next shift. I'm a bit far-sighted, so the "1s" as arrows just wasn't perceived,
