Upgrades to LTE, location of the communication module?
Hi all, my first post here!
I’m living Europe, driving a 2018 C-class Cabriolet.
My big project is to update (replace) the UMTS communication module to a LTE module now when the 2/3G net is closing down. I have acquired a LTE modem/module which is supposed to fit my vehicle, but I can’t find the UMTS one. I know that they are fitted under passenger seat in sedan/coupes but where in the whole world are they located in Cabriolets..? 🤔 Does anybody here know?
(I’m aware of that the new unit has to be SCN programmed in and registered with Mercedes via Star/Xentry.)

Thank you for your input!
Do you know where the Communication modem/modul is located on a A205 2018 Convertible?

Great! A million thanks! 😘I found the Burmester amplifier thingy (with a “computer fan” on it) just in front of the right taillight but then I gave up. Obviously I did not search far enough on the right side. 😄

Thank you! Unfortunately I hit the MB wall today. Seems you were right.
I’m at an authorized MB dealer now, they can change the vehicle code from 360 to 362 but they are not getting the module to connect to the MB system. They get an error message back.
They have succeeded in doing this job before, my car seems to be the first one to be denied. I assume the Germans, since a few day, have blocked this opportunity now.
Could also be that my used module is not working properly, of course, but I doubt.
Previously converted vehicles work still, I just checked. Unlucky me! 🤨
