Probably walnut, and as far as I know, M-B interior woods are all real (some have maple or poplar); they just have some type of coating on them that makes them look like plastic.

I have a 190e currently. I took the wood and it had this plastic gret stuff on the back. So, i then assumed it was just made in a factory to look real. Either way, my car has 183k on it, and the wood is damn near perfect condition. It looks nice, real or not.

My 97 C280 only has 73k, and the wood is pretty decent. Some scratches from the previous owner , but nice. The strip just under the windshield has begun to cloud up a bit. Any recommendations on how to bring back that shiny clear look? Thanks

Nothing to get rid of the clouding, except for replacing that piece of wood. In order to do that, you have to take the dash out
