Hi all. I have tried to write this in other forums, not even 1 responds until now I hope i have more luck here! thanks!

I bought a C280 - 1994 a few weeks ago - I dont know what the owner have done with the car before me, but the MAF cable is plugged with wires strangly into some kind of ECU box...

Can anyone please tell me or/and take pictures of where the MAF cable should be plugged in? The one end of course into the MAF it self, but its the other end i dont know... my car has very rough IDLE at this time and stalls very much. When i disconnect the MAF it runs "ok" dont stall or have rough IDLE - i just bought a new MAF and new MAF cable - but as i said, when i bought the car the owner before me had done some kind of "homemade" plug directe into the wire of a ECU job....

I can take pictures later today, but can anyone please take some pictures an tell me where the MAF should be plugged in on this car..

I do not own a C280, but somebody here should be able to take pictures for you. Have you taken some pictures of your wiring?

The car is at a workshop... hopefully i can go take some pictures tommorow... Do you have a idea where the wire should be plugged in? Thanks

the maf on your car is a round connector. a picture would be helpful however if you havve it at a shop already im sure they could figure it out.

Hi. The round connecter is at the MAF side, i am talking about where on the "car-side" the maf cable should be connected... the round connecter is of course easy to connect to the MAF. But the otherside of the cable should be plugged to a ECU or something, and i dont know how/where to do this.

Ok.. now i just need to know this:

Which wire goes to which pin on the MAF cable.... the wires are colored, so i just need to know which wire has to be connected to which pin - can anyone please help me out here, thanks alot!

dude the wire connecting to the MAF should be part of the car normal harness. It should be the only cable near the MAF with that special connector it has.

Do you have some home made cable connecting the MAF to the ECU?

I have a 99 C230, so I am not sure if I can be of any help.

Have you tried the dealer or a local specialized mechanic for help?
