Don't

you have a positive jumper post under the hood along the side of the engine bay
If you do hook it up to a charger and key out let it charge overnight on 10 amp setting.MB's hate to be jumped and the load on the alternator makes it unhappy.
Whats wrong with the mechanical trunk key?

If no charging post you might need to pick up one of those cigarette light chargers that go from car to car lighter and let it charge until you can pop the trunk and get to the battery.

You could saturate the lock with a spray lubricant and wiggle the key from side to side, that will unfreeze the lock. It works for me 95% of the time, allowing access to the boot.

I had this exact same problem, I ended up breaking my key in the process so I had to buy another, the new design provided some leverage on the new blade key so i could turn it way better and that did the trick, got the trunk open

yea try being in this situation while having your car impounded, not a good scenario, I would try spraying lubricant in the lock, my local MB dealer also recommended me to call MB roadside, said it is free and are more savy, and if need be would have the car towed to local authorized mBdealer. problem with me was that the impound lot closed at 5:00 pm and MB roadside cant be called til after 5:30 or something like that, that cigarette battery charger idea is a goodone, wouldnt hurt if all else fails, you could always take it back if it doesnt work.

well good luck!
