I wasnt originally planning to lower my car, but these HR sport springs look pretty cheap. can someone tell me in detail how are they?

also, since these springs lower the car 1.3", whats a decent wheel size I should get. keeping in mind that I do not plan on rolling my fenders.

replacing springs, require replacing shocks too, yes? what are some good shocks, blistens?

The Vogtlands are on sale for only $190. I have these on my 2002 C230K. For your car, them have a drop of F=40mm and R=25mm and of course you can tweek that by changing spring pad size. I'm still using stock shocks with my set and the ride is very similar to stock. Also, if you get new shocks, I would suggest the Koni's, that way you have some adjustment available to better match your taste.

That is a good price for H&R's. I haven't heard of that other brand. (vogtland) If he has them on his car and likes them then I guess it's ok. YES YOU WILL NEED NEW SHOCKS!!! After changing my springs, my shocks were shot in a little less than 24 hours. I now have Bilstein Sports matched to my Carlsson springs. The ride is still smooth with much better handling. I hear the Koni's are also good and about 30 dollars cheaper per shock. If you find cheap Intrax springs I hear they are nice but the drop is more extreme and the ride is stiffer.

u ahve 15X7 front and back

ilike biger wheels in back because it will fill up the whole wheel gap. in back . since the AMG cars have lots of power they put bigger wheels in back so there be more grip. and create under steer.

same size front and rear is required for AWD cars ilkw the audi quartto. since itz awd it will need to have all wheels spinning at the same rate not different rate like or else things get broken.

it hink if u get ebiach with #5 pads front and #4 rear. ur c280 wont be gettuing as much camber. u will still need camber kit, 300 USD.

Be aware of 18" wheels and H&R's. This is a great combination for a rough ride. Just depends on how much long distance driving you do I guess. TP, how is your car on highway expansion joints?
