I've been using the PIAA Xtreme White (65w H4s) and have been fairly pleased with them. I'm using PIAA Super Platinum White (H3 85w) for my driving lights...
Anybody else using the Xtreme White H4?

tpliquid,
I'm glad you mentioned that, I was wondering if perhaps it wasn't just me. I moved from the 55w H3 to the 85w, which required me installing a 20A fuse, because it was blowing the 10A. Wiring seems to be holding up find. I think I will be moving to an 85w H4 as well.
So, I am pleased with the Driving Lights. However, the headlamps are dim I think. The DOT lens pattern doesn't help. I wouldn't mind going to a Euro lens and see if that doesn't increase the light pattern some.

I, myself, am no longer sold on having my head lights 'look' like something else. I'm willing to give up the blue tint and everything else, for a good bright bulb, that works well with the DOT pattern. Is anybody out there using a 85w bulb on their H4 headlights? I'm thinking about moving from 65w to 85w just to get some increase in actual lighting...

Why are you all spending 90 bucks or more on these stupid look-alike bulbs??? Just get these. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1876886604
This is pretty much what I have. They are very bright and look absolutely identical to real HID's. There are like 4 threads on this forum of people trying to get their headlights to look like real HID's. For the price you all are spending on these bulbs, you could have bought drilled rotors or really good brake pads or something else more useful. I hate to lecture you all but I can't stand to see you all wasting your money on bulbs that are just slightly more purple than somebody else's. Everyday people aren't going to notice whether you've spent $400 on bulbs or $6.99 on bulbs. There are only so many different shades of white!!! Ok, I'm done.

I agree with Douglas on some of his points. There is only so many ways to slice a pie, ya know?
I'm looking for brigther, whiter light.. I'd really like to find an 85w H4. Anybody have a recommendation based on those needs?

The wiring seems to be able to hold the 85w H3 just fine. Though, I did move to a 20A fuse after blowing the 10A fuse. This was about a year and a half ago. Still no sign of burning. The guage of the wire, which I am unsure of, seems to be holding.
