I'd say buy OEM. It may be a little expensive, but in the long run could save you more.

1996 C36 AMG, 1970 LeMans Sport, a truck
Before you go any further, remove the alternator and get the thing bench tested. Most places will check it for free.

If that fails that will kill your battery and cause the OVP to shut off and all kinds of problems like what you're describing before it really dies.

You've been driving around jump starting everywhere you go haven't you?

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
That pump is

as fake as the day is long.
It is neither OEM nor is it even OE.
http://www.china-direct-buy.com/v/4/...fuel_pump.html
they buy them by the hundreds and sell them to people in the op"s position.
Why go another $$ into the hole when the part will fail just like all the other junk they clone fails?

That's exactly what I was trying to say to $tallion, go buy OEM or from other reputable companies like www.autohausaz.com or from www.performanceproducts4benz.com

ohlord is right that these fake products from China breaks easily.
