Cylinder 6 Misfire

I currently am driving a 1995 C280 with an inline 6.
This morning my CEL came on and the car began missing badly. I then limped it to the autozone down the street and plugged it in to see that only my 6th cylinder was missing. I then replaced all 6 plugs (figured id replace all if only one was bad) it was still missing. I then threw on a different coil and it was still missing. As a last ditch effort i ran a compression test only to see that it stil has perfect compression. So if it is not the coil, plugs, or a bad cyl, could it be a fuel issue?

So im kinda at a loss, any ideas?

Yes, the wiring harness has been replaced :-)

Pics for kicks

It could be fuel related but I would assume at this point that it could be your plug wire for that cylinder.

"Cyl 6 missing" is code for bad MAF.

It cant be a wire as the coil sits directly on top of that plug, and then runs a wire to the cyl 1 which is still firing, because thats what i originally thought as well...

swap the plug connecter boot from one coil to another and see if the misfire switches cylinders

spark plug replace

i have a 99' c280 v6, how do you change the spark plugs? A buddy of mine was changing the clk320 v6 spark plugs and he told me it took him like 5 hours to do that, i don't think german engineers would make our life tougher like that so could you please tell me if there's a trick or something?

My car has the inline 6, but it is as simple as removing an alloy cover from the top of my motor, removing all three coils and then replacing them as usual. Takes a total of 30 min from start to finish

Just got a call from the shop, apparently it is something completely easy that i overlooked and yes you can all laugh at me because when checking the coil, i never actually checked the sparkplug boot, but i checked directly on the coil.

A faulty boot is what caused the mis-fire so i spent $100 to diagnose a $12 part

Its tough. The sparkplug wires are hard to put back on and take off...A ratchet, 2"extension and a universal joint should do it....removing the valve cover if you need more room....1.5hr job....shouldnt take 5hrs.
