Subwoofer installation/wire running

Hi all,
I need some help with running amp wires to the front of the car to the deck. I'm installing sub's myself and I know I can run the wires along the side of the car, underneathe the plastic part that runs parallel with the door, but how I can I get the wire to that part from the trunk and to behind the deck. Any help would be good! Thanks.

Why can't you go along the side?

along the side meaning the door sills part? That is no problem, it's just getting the amp cable underneathe the dash, after I reach the end of the side up front, then behind the deck so that I can wire it up.

Where do I go through underneathe the dash cuz I don't want to F up any electronic stuff. Thanks Doug.

If you're in the plastic in the door sills, just follow that. The gutter goes from the back of the front door sill across the floor in front of the seat. Then it runs up towards the shifter and then forward under the radio.

All you had to do was look!

question on grounding the cap and amp. Theres a bolt that holds the battery (at the bottom), which I think is attached to the chassis. Can i use that to ground my cap and amp?

Has anyone installed subwoofers in their car and know how to connect the amp to cap to battery? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That bolt isn't far away, it's right there in the trunk.

There's a real ground point in the trunk behind the left interior panel. You may want to consider using that. Using a mechanical hold down as an electrical connection probably isn't that great of an idea.

I've finished hooking up the system I used the exisiting negative battery terminal as the ground and should be fine. Anyone think this is a bad idea because I could not find any other place to drill and don't want to risk puncturing anything.

I'll post some pics tomorrow.

As long as it's a good unpainted sturdy ground it should be fine.
