Will 19 x 9.5 inch Lorinzer Replicas fit??

Hi All,

I'm brand new to the forum. I stumbled onto it while searching for some wheels. And boy, was I soo happy to find this site, and I read the threads!! The people seem really cool. No haters? Anyway, I'm sure most of you have seen the Lorinzer LM5 Replicas on Ebay. I want to get the staggered set. 19 x 8.5 front, and 19 x 9.5 rear for my 98 C230. I have several questions.

- It says the offest for these wheels are 38mm. But I thought 35mm was the correct offset?

- Will the 19 x 9.5 fit in the rear? And if so, what modifications must be done.

- What is the best tires size, for front and rear....

...When I had my 96 e-class I had 19 x 8.5 245/35/19 front, and 19 x 10 275/30/19. But I'm sure the C class has a slightly smaller wheel well. Hence, smaller tires must be used.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

-Jim

Thanks everyone!

Thanks for the replies!! I now know they can actually fit, but I'm trying to figure out if I have to roll the fenders, and anything else I need to do...

Also, how wide can I go with tires in the back? 265/30/19?

I'm still trying to find Henry47....

Good news. I found out that the front offset is ET35mm NOT ET38mm... So after all your great advice, I think it;s going to work out!!!

If you want to lower the car, springs are the only way to go. Taking out those shims will make your car lower but handle terrible. Plus if you put those wide tires on it when you hit a bump you will rub. Stiffer springs keep this from happening. Plus you will need sport shocks and an alignment so just put in the other $250 and get some H&R's.
