the kit is the hardest. tp, this one ur gonna get???? is it plastic (abs) or is it poly? oh and does wald only make this one? also, give me some info on the lorinser sportline... the best place to buy it and is it poly or real plastic??

I dont remember all the info on Lorinser but it is made out of top quality material. All I remember is the side skirts are kevlar so it doesnt come cheap. There is a price list on cec, but most other places dont list. Nrauto has the standard kit and it is ussually priced close to the sportline kit, maybe you should inquire to them. It is the cheapest I have seen lorinser for. A friend of mine got me a quote of $3k for sportline 4 piece but that was most likely a hook up price....I have no clue about wald but it looks pretty good and Im sure it isnt cheap...save up your pennies..

I believe that car in the pic is the one that had the lorinser kit on it before. It was in a ad for ebay etc etc. clean car

that car belongs to show winner jon pek.
Wald is made of fiberglass.
it doesnt look very good. Look how much the front bumper sticks out in front and notice that the bumper does not line up with the fender in the front.

after careful inspection of the body kit..it is not for me..
lines dont match up. front sticks ot too much. fender lines are not put into design of the bumpers. side skirts are too bulky.. dats my opnion..also real lorinser is fiberglass. i herd that jon pek got rear ended cracked the bumper in half..

That's almost like the spoiler I got. I like the car and the kit. Screw fitment, I'll let the body shop deal with that.

The body kit looks very nice.

By the way, does anyone know where I could purchase the carbon fiber hood from for a W202.

Thanks for your help.

What?! Lorinser is fiberglass? How come on the cec website when you go to the pricelist(pdf) they list the materials as other stuff. I'm gonna have to look that up again when I'm on a cpu with adobe. That isnt worth it, if it is just fiberglass, plus the guys bumper gets cracked like its some cheap stuff.....forget about it...all I have to say now is give me a replica, not lorinser cuz no one knows how to do that right and let me save monet..less money on body kit equals more money on rims

The body kit looks low rent compared to OE AMG stuff. The panel alignment sucks and the rocker panel sections are nothing special. The wheels are decent, but the black hood looks goofy, like something some Honda Civic driver would kill for. It's a Benz, not a rusted out 91 Si fake-o hot rod. The decals along the door look "I'm really a race car" and again would be right at home on the forementioned 91 Civic bucket.

The trunk 'glass work is good, and the speakers in the kicks are in the right place for good imaging.

Whatever. I'd still rather have a showroom stock AMG car ahead of it. The stereo stuff is pretty cool, and from the limited pics looks well done. However, the exterior is nothing special in my books, and doesn't stand out. I stand by my comments on the hood. The decals might be to show sponsors, but I still think they look out of place on a Mercedes.

Instead of spending all that money, I'd buy a bone stock used CLK55 and Kleeman it. I'd put CLK320 emblems on it and hunt down a Viper. (There is an incident on a Viper Forum where a Viper pilot was smoked by a CLK. I suspect it was Kleeman boosted AMG unit)

AMG doesnt really stand out in my eyes. And in my opnion if your car doesnt come from the factory saying amg or your not gonna convert it to have amg power then you shouldnt put an amg kit on it. Thats like putting type r components on a integra ls. The car looks good. He has done numerous changes so I suspect he has the mod itch. His way of thinking is porbably when he loses a show something has to change, thats if he loses.

are you a judge at a car show? if your not then what you say is of no importance into winning a car show.

jeez, chill out man. his car is nice, but get off his nuts! if somebody wants to criticize it, let them.

and anyways, do you know what types of cars are the majority at these car shows you speak of?

You are all crazy, I like that car. The hood is indeed a fake, its just CF laminated onto the OEM hood (actually adds weight). I would rock that car though.

the car (in my opinion) is tight. Clean, and smooth... Also, if he's trying to achive the ricer look (no offense), then he's on track. Personally, If I were rockin it I'd lose the stickers, and the hood, and I'd chrome the wheels.... then it would be completely smooth... and a touch of bling (not tacky though). But that's just me.

I really like the kit... it rounds-out the car, and make it look more modern... instead of boxy. The rims are dope... especially in the rear with the huge lip... Mirrors are cool too...

I give guy his props.... for the look he is trying to achieve, the car looks damn good.... (but that's just my opinion)....
