BAS ESP light in the morning
Hi,
I just got this 1999 C280 last month.
My BAS ESP light is on almost every morning. And it only happens in the morning. It does not come on in the afternoon. (Going home from work)
At first I thought it only happens when it's raining but it still comes on on several dry days.
The car runs and accelerates well. Any ideas what's going on?

sometimes esp comes on for a lil bit when you try to floor it on like gravel.. can be dry out when this happens
but other then that i have no clue

It might be as simple as needing the steering position sensor resynchronized... I forget the exact procedure, and I am not sure if it is in the manual. Did you look in your manual? But it's something like, with the car on, turn the steering wheel full left, then full right, then full left, and full right.

2000 C230 KOMPRESSOR
My BAS/ESP LIGHT CAME ON.
I owned a 2000 model C230 kompressor. forthnight ago the BAS/ESP light came on. I took it to workshop where a diagnostic test was conducted and the mechanic recommended the replacement of stop lamp switch. After the replacement, the light is still ON.
I still have another issue which is yet to be resolved. i replaced three(3) MAF within the period of months.
Any help and suggestion will be highly appreciated.

C1504 Error Code "Tricky" !
Folks: I found out the C1504 err. code is really confusing as it might point to a general direction of problem(s). I ONLY had my Brake stop Switch replaced for $28(parts) plus a bit of labor costs to get the yellow BSP, ABC warning went away for the last one whole week now ! I think it would be an inexpensive way to resolve this C1504 before trying to replace a bunch of more expensive parts ! This is what happened to me. Thanks !

ESP Light Problem
Hi this sort off topic but i have a c230 kompressor year 2000 with 155,000 km and yesterday while driving, the ESP light came on, as soon as the light came on the transmission stayed on one gear, and the speedometer showed zero and it took a long time to pull when pressing the accelerator. I have already changed the main speed sensor and it was running fine until yesterday. Is there something else i should look at, like another sensor or is it another problem entirely?
