for how many of you is this your first Mercedes..

when i was 16 my first car was a mirror finish light green 300d with white leather and spoke rims ..hey it was 1993 i was ballin ! the odometer was stuck at 360,000 miles and never had a problem..besides usual wear and tear a balljoint here ..an alternator there stuff like that even the air worked great

at 18 i toned it down a bit and picked up a 1984 sliver 190e with the checkerboard cloth interior..with 150,000 miles never a problem again .. but ac always leaked and had the usual problems with drivers side window regulator breaking

then at 20 i got a job paying 13.00 and hour i thought i was johnny millionare and bought at 93 jeep grand cherokee for $13,000 dumbest move... and started paying 40$ a week for regular gas !

now just turning 26 i finally bought my 98 c230 sliver. i was shopping for months cuz i really wanted a 280 sport .. but the $$ i saved and the great gas milage now about 24 bucks a week is sooooooooo worth it..

anyway hope i dident bore you to death ! ill take some pics next time i clean it

i know they cost 1500$ thats about it.. so far..

This is my first Benz. I had a 93 fully loaded 5-speed MAXIMA when I turned 16 (this was in 98 when I inherited it from my father with 55,000 miles on it). Then I bought a fully loaded 4X4 95 YUKON 2-door in July of 98 (it had about 44,000 on it when I bought it) and continued to drive that MAXIMA until June 2001 (it had 122,000 on it) when I finally went to driving the YUKON full time (by then it had 70,000 on it). I drove the YUKON until April of this year (it had 111,000 on it) when I got the 95 C 280 I drive now (got it with 58,0000 and now has 62,000).

When I was 16 I got a 89 190E. When I was 18 I totalled it and got a 92 190E. 6 months after that I wanted an SUV so I got a 98 Grand Cherokee Limited. Then about 2 months after that I drove my friend's C220 and decided I wanted a C Class so I got my C280. I probably should sell the 190E or Grand Cherokee but I don't even think the money would be worth the benefit of having the versatility of all 3 cars. I use the 190E and the Grand Cherokee for traveling and hauling and the C280 as my fun car.

This is my first Benz too, bought it for myself on my 30th B-day. I commute to work in my '89 Honda CRX Si (talk about great gas mileage!) and have my classic '74 Porsche 914 and the '99 C280 Sport as the FUN cars! I agree, nothing like the versitility of having 3 cars! Parking is a problem though.

And if you're wondering... insurance ain't that bad at all... I pay $527 for 6 mo. for full coverage on the Benz & Porsche and the Honda has only liability.

My first car was a 91 BMW 318is, which I got after highschool. Everyone was giving me props, like yeah its a BMW. Then my first and probably not my last mercedes(clk or amg something in the future) was a 98 C280 sport that I got in 2002 with almost 51k miles, then people really thought I was the man, or selling drugs. It wasn't the car I wanted but it just looked smoothe. I wish I would have done more research on Mercedes back then cuz I would have probably took it up a notch and got a C36 or 43, oh well I still get a lot of respect and hatred for this.

This is my 1st benz, but 3rd car. I had a 1998 Honda Civic DX, some ***** ran a red light and hit me as i was comming out. Then i had a 2001 Acura CL with navigation. sweet fuccking car, but then i crashed it, going way too fast in a parking structure .
And now I have my 1999 C 230 K, and I get more attention with it than both those other cars. fuccking sweet! BTW all my cars were silver.

I think this is a cool thread... so I am bringing it back to life!!!

My first car was a 1977 240D, white with Palomino (can't remember the proper color name) MB-Tex. It had almost 300k miles on it when it was totalled by a drunk driver that pulled out in front of me FROM A TAVERN!!!

My sister and I walked away unharmed, and all 3 drunks in the early 80's Toyota truck went to the hospital.

Since then I have had MANY Hondas... and now a few more MB's.

yeah this is my first car i started to drive on. Probably gonna keep it forever. Hopefully my next car will be a 1999 F355 ferrari, trying to get it in a year or two. Im 18 right now, in my second year of college.

1995 C280 currently has 108770 miles.

I wish you luck in getting your F355... I too would love to have a F355 or a 348... but I couldn't afford the maintenance on one... and I am 30

I probably wont be driving it too much though, and i asked an insurance company and they said my monthly insurance will be $450 but that will probably go down in two years.

My first car was a 1974 VW Super Beetle...hated it because it had those dreaded mcpherson struts and not shocks in the front. loved the Beetle though. ended up owning over 9 different beetles, NOT Super Beetles(Stupid Beetles)...finished out my love for beetles with a 1992 Mexican Bettle with A/C...got it registered as a 1974 beetle since they were illegal to own in America at the time.

I owned a ****load of muscle cars from Impalas to Rivieras and still own one...1968 Chevy Caprice 2 door coupe with original 327 motor.

My first Benz came in 2006 around this time....97'C280..and I love it.
I drive it more than my classic muscle car.

This is my first car, first year starting college. Car has 60500 Miles, its a 1997 C280 Sport, I started driving it when I first learned to drive when I was 15 years old. Currently looking for a JDM for a DD, the Benz is the cruise car.

My first one is a 99 C230K, I just started paying for a E500 4Matic for special occasions and the winter time. I haven't looked back since, they're amazing cars and they're beautiful when they're very well-kept and clean!
