I use a Scosche. (Not Scorchie.)

VW/Audi, it's called an "ISO" adapter.

hey, i bought this one
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=3043153608

the prob is, on my stock stereo, i got one that looks like it'll fit in there but it is slightly smaller and one longer rectangular one.
so i got 2 connectors. the clips on the square one don't even line up with the aftermarket harness. maybe i'm just doing it wrong
i'll take a pic of the connectors tommrow

That's what I use, a Scosche.

Your stereo has three connectors, A, B and C. The A and B connector sometimes are connected together (like that Scosche adapter).

A = 8 pins
B = 8 pins
C = 10 pins

C is not use for an aftermarket stereo, because it carries either CD changer signals, or CANBUS signals.

hey, thankx for the help. yea i sat there for 30 mins with a freind and couldn't get the wire harness connectedx to the A&B. it's connected togather. i just got pissed and ended up cutting the wires and connecting them directly. i got the phase correct so it sounds good.

thankx

That's about the funniest thing I've ever seen on this forum.

Do you have a layout of what each pin is for, since I'm in need to do some cutting myself to put a new CD player in and want to make sure I wire it up correctly for a 1998 C43 with Bose package.

thanks,
ttt
