How to reset radio ?

I know I'm an idiot , but I've been outwitted by my radio : I've entered the 5 digit code and pushed SC - but then CODE comes up flashing again , and if I try to re-enter anything it comes up wait . What am I doing wrong here ? I even called another dealer to verify that the code was correct after it failed to reset after a few attempts and I got the same # - unless for some reason the radio has been replaced or something ???

Check in your MB leather case that came with the car...inside along with your manuals and such, should be a "Radio" instruction booklet. Kinda thin. Should be instructions inside on how to reset the radio. I don't have my currently handy.

hmm I'd take the radio out and take it to the dealership and confirm the code # based on the serial # of the actual radio... it is possible that someone changed it and that's why the code does not work...

I think you have to go to the stealership to show that it is your car before they hand out the radio code.

I got mine over the phone , but I doubt most dealers would do that for you - I offered to fax a copy of my reg. but the guy I spoke to said it wasn't necessary . Still haven't got the thing to work yet though , guess I need to pull it out to check the #'s .
