Hi I just received my C55 replica spoiler from direct sales, It comes with double side tape. The spoiler has 2 holes in it. Do I have to drill them or the tape will hold the spoiler in place. Thanks!!!!!

Based on what I've heard, the double sided tape should do the trick. You might wanna PM FrankW because he's also got a C55 replica spoiler.

yeah im pretty sure it is double sided 3M style tape.

Did it come painted? How's the paintjob? How much was it and do they have a website?

I got the W203 lip spoiler from my dealer and insisted I install it myself. I ended up adding additional 3M tape and on top of that added silicone to seal the deal. Kept it on for 48 hours with tape holding it down to let the tape/silicone do it's thing. So far so good, I've gone through rain, car washes, and current Chicago winter -no gaps, doesn't move, spoiler seems to be completely sealed.

I was afraid my dealer was going to stick it on, let it sit for a few hours, then courtesy wash my car, then tell me it's down. I don't think they have the time to let the car sit for reinforcement tape for 48hours.

Do it yourself, it's really easy.

did the directed sales spoiler come with the double sided tape that it was supposed to? im about to get the c55 spoiler from formymercedes, which is the same one as directed sales, (they work together),

so how is the finish on that spoiler


will the silicione ruin the paint if the spoiler is to ever come off
