New soon-to-be a C230SS driver

Sup guys. I'm from e46fanatics.com. Current car is a 02 330Ci.
I should be placing the order for the new C very soon so that I can start driving beginning of June. Going for black on black.

Was looking at many cars and came down to 2 finalists. G35coupe and this. Although the power is weaker, I fell in love with the interior & the overall design. Tough decision but I'm sure I'll be happy

I have a buddy that works @ MB in the engineering dept that pretty much knows all about our cars. If you guys have any mind boggling questions, shoot em over my way so I can toss it over to him.

Also if anyone needs any original MB parts, let me know and I'll see if I can get you a good deal.

Looking forward to the change.

How about Euro bumper for the coupe, or complete European AMG suspension for my coupe...

Welcome... nice choice! Sometimes we have to sacrifice a little speed for luxury and happiness.

No parts, but a internship in the engineering department would be SO F'ING AWESOME!!! Would also look great on my transfer application for next year!

BTW, coming from a 330i, why not look at ordering a C350, or even a C320? There should be amazing deals on the 320 once the first 350 comes in.

My friend's so lucky. Mmm... he can lease any car for dirt cheap and he can even purchase a Mercedes for 23% off list price..

Missing my beloved Benz
Coming from someone who owned a BMW 330i, at first you'll love the benz but after a while... the lack of power will get to you. Good luck and I hope you the best. I still miss my benz.

Dude welcome! I have to ask you though----- How did you come to your decision on getting the c230k over the g35 coupe. I had the same dilemma and it's funny we both chose benzos. NOt only that but notice we were not interested in the G35 sedan which is a good car. What drove you to these two cars and more specifically the c230 ss? Also do you know that by this summer all new 203 will be six cylinders according to mags and some of the people on this forum. Yes you can get excellent deals on our current 4 cylinder c230, but did you have you asked your boy about that at all. See if it might be same price for 6 cylinder w203 c230k Is it really true. Might be worth the wait..... 3-4 months away.

hey doct. yes the g35 was VERY tempting but i just fell in love with the overall style of the benz. i love what they did with the interior on the 05 C and the amg body kit is too sexy. when you compare the two cars, the c feels sporty & luxurious at the same time. i'll be missing out on a little power but i'm sure i'll get used to it.

yes i've asked my buddy about the 06 c classes and such and he basically told me the only difference is the new engine. and since it's natural aspirated it won't have the kick to it. he pretty much said i'll be happy with the current engine.

yeah i sure notice that SC boost kick in at a certain RPM's. it takes a little getting used to because you're accelerating at a certain rate then the SC boost comes and you suddenly have to shift sooner than you expected cause the car and RPMs jump forward.

2005 C230 Ss - Good Choice!

Boynix...welcome to the forum. I think you will be happy with your choice, I have owned my 2005 C230 SS for about 3 months now and I love it. I find myself liking the car more and more as time goes on....Quick question for you though: You said you had a friend in MB and I am sure you asked him/her about the 1.8 engine in the 2005 C230 SS and I was wondering what kind of feedback you got? I have heard nothing but good stuff about this engine...anywayz welcome aboard and good luck with your car!
