The $64,000 question is: Are you tracking it, or are you racing (you're the same guy who asked about a 'racing suspension', no?)?
For the track, a good set of springs, and some Koni sports will greatly improve the performance/enjoyment, yet still leave the car drivable on the street.
If you're going racing, you can forget driving the car on the street, as it'll rattle your fillings out of your teeth.
The spring rates for and shock valving for a car used in a true racing series (like the SpeedWorld Challenge, etc) are much higher than any streetable shocks/springs.

Search for user: Nukblazi in the W203 thread. He had KW V2s, and did a lot of tracking in his car.

the problem with street coil overs is that they weren't designed for constant beating on the track but rather more spirited driving.
I wouldn't suggest getting tein ss or kw's if your gonna be tracking it all the time. eventually you will blow out the shocks.
Like i said on the other thread, get the bilsteins or race valved koni's. There more up to par for consistent track use. When i say track..i'm assuming autox not drag.

probably not. i'm not saying the yellows will blow or anything. There other people who track the yellows and there fine. Most people recommend you do re-valve them to more of a race spec versus a street spec. its relatively cheap to re-valve them. either way, you can't go wrong with bilsteins or the koni's.

Well, Sachs-Boge are the OEM supplier of shock/struts for benz and bmw. Good stuff.
These appear to be from their performance line-which is a bit better/stiffer than the OEM units. They are usually red in color. Check out www.sachsracing.com or www.sachsna.com for a bit more info.
How these are Renntech, i am not sure...Maybe Renntech sources Sachs to build them to their specs??

W203 spring install (front)/impact wrench
Using a break bar to remove the two 19mm bolt connecting the front strut to the hub, I realized that it was impossible. The shop had previously over-tightened the bolt, and the placement of the bolt is in an awkward angle for me to exert full strength. I'm considering buying a used impact wrench on ebay and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of which to buy. The Dewalt 1/2" seems like a good one..
Since the bolt is in a hard to reach place, would one need a smaller impact wrench to fit, or simply an extension will do? (i read about something called right-angle extension). thanks for any input.

I just installed the Eibach Pro System Plus (shocks, springs, and sways) and the struts are made by Sachs, and look/fit exactly like OEM. Highly recommended!
