Not too sure about the license mount that you are referring to. Is it this one?

I have mine bended, with only the Letters and Numbers showing, and zip-tied it to the bumper mesh grille.
If you insist on not having the bumper drilled (not getting the license plate installed correctly), next time you get a ticket like that, just tell the cop that the dealership didn't drill the bumper for you and yourself is not skilled to do it. Tell him you are not aware of the law, and you will get it fixed asap. Hopefully the cop will give you a Fix-It Ticket.

yup i got one for my SLK and it save me from drilling hole to my bumper for my fix-it ticket
here it is
p.s i did not get a fix it ticket, the lady cop gave me a $109.00 ticket and she told me to dispute the ticket when it makes it to the court she will let me go. but for now she has to give me the ticket. it sucks but i need to have it fixed before i go dispute the ticket, and i just paid like $300 to get my front bumper fixed when i took off the plate. so there is no way in hell i would drill new screws into my car again.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

Post pictures of how the frame looks..i might order myself a set as well

because they rarely see a side mount license plate with only 1 screw unlike the "EVO" have them "drill-on"i like those guy on gominigo.com, i placed my order then 2 days later they are right at my door

perfect timing before i got court date
well i want to see if i could have them give us a 20 or 25% off if we can get about 20+ people
i totally think the price worth it from drilling holes on your bumper...
