Thanks for all your help guys. that is the site i was looking for.
p.s i did not get a fix it ticket, the lady cop gave me a $109.00 ticket and she told me to dispute the ticket when it makes it to the court she will let me go. but for now she has to give me the ticket. it sucks but i need to have it fixed before i go dispute the ticket, and i just paid like $300 to get my front bumper fixed when i took off the plate. so there is no way in hell i would drill new screws into my car again.

no in vancouver these ppl are A**** and they will come out and see if the screws are drilled and it is mounted on well to the front end of the car, and using the tow hitch.. leaves the plate to be removable.. so i can drive with it off all them time and when i get pulled over all i have to say is
"OOO i'm really sorry my car was at the dealer getting some body work, and they must have taken it off, i'll put it on right now" and that way they wont even issue me a ticket. and we can avoid the full thing.

But i do have 2 extra tow hitches lying around and i was thinking about doing the same thing, because i have a friend who works in a metal shop.

Another alternative might be, drill the hole, use bumperplug to cover up the hole, if u get ticket, get a prosecutor and ask him to void your ticket, by that time put your license plate on. When the case is done, remove the plate and put the bumper plug on. Rinse and repeat.

if they charge too much and not give us a good discount on a group buy, then i might just get my friend to make me one using my curret tow hitch.
I wonder how much does the dealer sell an extra tow hitch. i dont imagen it to be too $$$$... after getting that it cant be that hard to cut half of the loop and weld a flat sheet mettle (size of a license plate) on it. and then screw the plate to that. as long as the price of getting a tow hitch from the deal is not too much money

So i got tired of waiting, and i had my friend design me the plate holder i want, and i just got him to cut the top of the tow hitch off and weld on a sheet metel, so i can mount my plate on it. take a look tell me what u think...

thx, but i dont intend to keep it on the car at all times, just when in go into downtown or richmond. for the most part it wont be on the car.
for the tilt when it is fully tight its straight, but in that pic its just put on for show so i did not screw it in fully.

Getting it made is not that hard guys, just find a metel shop close to you and tell them what u want them to do, and provide the sheet metel and the tow hitch they just have to cut and weld. not hard at all. it will take them a full of 20 min to do.. they will charge $10-15 and u'll have ur own brakcet.

wow hmm sucks to hear you got a ticket... ive been driving without one 4 ever cop will only pull you over if hes a dick/*******.. I will never put one on.. come on your benz looks gorgeous very nice white and then a lic plate off to the side it looks ugly remove it at once please!!!
