MH-Dezent Grille - another step forward...
So, this took me faster to get done than I thought. Just another step towards where I want my car to be (looks and eventually performance). I have the grille ghetto rigged (with zip ties) for now. The screws don't quite match up the way I would like (on the bottom - which are only two). I lost one of the small screws, so I figured zip ties would be much more secure at this time. Once I figure out how I'm gonna attach L brackets to matchup perfectly with the mounting holes (and probably add U brackets for the bottom holes), I'll be good to go. Nonetheless, enjoy the pics (sorry, all of these were night pics, but out of 30 I took, these were the best).

Drex, that looks great! I though you weren't a big fan of big star grilles though. Glad you made the move. With your rims arriving soon (right?), your ride is going to look sweeter than ever. You always seem to find a way to make things work even though it's ghetto style from the inside. Your pics are getting better too. I see that you wiped off the fingerprints! I unfortunately got the big star grille from formymercedes. Your grille looks a lot better as the star rides up higher. What rims are you getting? If it's a secret, you'll just have to surprise us all.

Only thing is, I was only going to do it if I found a MH-Dezent one and not the formymercedes grille. I like how the grill slats go all the way to the body of the car (on the formymercedes one, you can see the side of the grille). Plus, I wanted to color match so at night it looks like the grille is part of the hood and the front star looks like it's floating.
Check out my thread about my rims. You should be able to see from there. A lot of people were able to tell (there's one pic in particular that should give it away).
Next weekend, I'm gonna sit down and figure out what type of mounting I'm going to use because the screws the grille came with are not gonna cut it and there are no mounting points on the top of the grille...So, I'll improvise, go to home depot, find something good and go from there.

No chrome, except for the star. Here are a few more pics I took today.
