TEIN Basic and Super Street coilovers (Update on post 177)...
Looks really good though, dawg. I'm sure the bumper even adds more "uniqueness" to your ride.
-edit-
Oh shmack! Didn't know you even bought the S-Class tails! LED or just regular light? I'm probably gonna be getting those next month. How do you like them?

Those are just regular non-LED tails. I love the look, especially when parked side by side with a C without them! Makes the whole rear of the car look fresh.

Man, makes me wanna get my rims and body kit already!...Just wish the extra clash was flowin' a little easier. Awesome upgrades, bro.

The research and development is now complete on the C320 coupe.
I now have the TEIN SUPER STREETS on my coupe. Picked the car up yesterday afternoon... Driven about 100 miles on them.
TEIN set my height and stiffness for me, I will probably leave it. I may adjust the ride height when I change the 17's for the 18's. They have it set to 1 finger in the front and the rear tire tucked up into the body about an inch. Will post pic's on Monday.
The ride quality, I would say... Almost the same firmness as the stock sport, but again its 16 way adjustable, and its set to position #8 at the moment. I'm really happy with the setting it is at now, although... I am looking into the EDFC addition.
EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller) makes it possible for the driver to control the damping force by controlling a motor installed in the shock absorber while being seated in the driver's seat. Since the damping force can be manually controlled with ease to meet different situations, the driver can enjoy variations in the suspension setting. "Quoted from the TEIN website"
NOW... the important info:
HANDLING....................... The car is definably more stable when simi-aggressive around curves. It's definably a HUGE improvement! Less body roll is definite, and the car actually has a sportier feel to it.
I did take the car to its limit last night, in my little test runs.
1st run, the infamous on-ramp on Manchester onto S. bound I-5...
Has a lovely up-hill throttle loving incline with a fairly tight curve and a surprise sharper turn at the very end before straightening out... Definably improved feel, and it was not doing the typical OMFG I’m gunna roll.... unfortunately I lost tire traction (my own fault... need new sway bars, cause I over-steered and lost it). Then as I merged onto the freeway, a Lexus IS300 must have seen my little stunt, because he immediately pulled along side of me then floored it (and no, I didn't try to race him although this story would have been better if I did)
2nd & 3rd run, back road from el Camino real to rancho Santa Fe... Couple short straight-a-ways, curves on mild hills (up and down) and 1 turn that will make any passenger **** themselves at speeds over 50 mph then a nice series of 25mph S curves. I drive this road at least 2 times a day, and know it quite well.
Going S. on this road, ESP engaged twice, the 25mph turns pushed 70, and the hair pin turn, well let’s say I just about pissed myself as ESP engaged and a truck was a coming from the opposite direction. I can definably say these TEIN SUPER STREETS; change the handling for the better as well driving pleasure.
Going N. on this road, speeds were a bit higher than my typical driving speed when I am playing around, but not going to the limit. Suspension felt safe and responsive and absolutely perfect for the daily drive.
More test drives to come, but I can definably say I NEED SWAY BARS & I NEED THEM SOON. Maybe TEIN, has a surprise in store????

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Setting I want to adjust to is (10 F, 7 R). Since you're running 8F 8R, and the ride comfort seems similar to stock, I might just go even stiffer than the 10/7 split I was initially thinking of.
Good to know you like them! Website isn't updated yet, but I'm sure they took pics and will update soon. I remember they posted the 230 sedan stats a couple days after I picked up the car, so it was fairly quick.
I know they set it to similar stats as what "stock" would be based on the ride comfort, but because I don't mind a "stiffer" ride, that's where I'm gearing towards. Now that it's settled in, I notice the body lean. It's definitely not as significant as it was before, but I can still feel it.
Anyways, speaking of my car, gotta go pick it up now.

Any news on this Drex?
I'll put a call in on Monday (because I was going to anyway) to find out.

I'm still running on the way that TEIN had it set up for me (12 front / 12 rear - 16 being softest), but there's just a little too much body lean for my taste. I'm also running on the Brabus swaybars, so I'm trying to factor that in as well.
One thing that's been puzzling me is that since this is my first Rear wheel drive car, I don't know if a stiffer front suspension is more aggressive than a stiffer rear.
I know from past experience with front wheel drive cars that it was more ideal to have a stiffer rear suspension because front wheel drive cars naturally have more understeer. I've also been told that drive-train doesn't really make a difference when it comes to suspension dampening settings.
It's all starting to confuse me because I've never dealt with a rear-wheel drive car before. Once I think I've gotten a better grasp of the 411, somebody comes in to refute that and has a contrasting POV.
Anybody have any insight?
thanks. drex.

hey Drex,
you mentioned 16 is the softest setting. think you got i backward, i think level 16 is the stiffest. when you rotate the dampen clockwise it gets stiffer, thus going towards level 16.
You're right about the photoshoot and weather. I totally forgot about that cuz I still haven't gotten my camera in yet, so wanted to wait until i got that. Sucks too cuz the weather is supposed to be clear this weekend.

I'm gonna be checking in with my rep sometime soon to see if the EDFC and upper pillowball mounts are going to be made or not, so I'll check with him on the production for the springs as well.
