Window Synchronization?

My "express window up" stopped working on my coupe driver window. I don't have my manual handy, but I remember somnething about "window synchronization." Normal closing (if you hold it) is working. Remote closing (with the key from outside) works too. I noticed that "tunnel mode" (closing by holding the recirculate button) is not working on the driver side. Any suggestions from the gurus out there? Thanks.

I think you have to open it all the way, and then close it all the way and then continue to hold the close button for a few seconds. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks. When you hold it closed, is that with the switch pulled up just to the first position, or past the detent to the "express up" position?

I had to do this once for 1 of my back windows -- I think just to the first position is the way to do it. You want to manually "force" it closed for the few seconds.

It happens all the time to me when I disconnect the battery. The manual says to hold the window completely closed for 1 second. It works for me.

I love this list!
It worked like a charm! Thanks to folks for your info. I guess it wouldn't surprise anyine that when I called MBUSA this morning and asked what the correct procedure was to synchronize the windows, all the guy said was "I have no information on that. You'll have to bring it in for service." You think they'd figure out that just giving the call center folks a reasonably good service database from which to answer questions is cheaper than paying dealers for warranty repairs, No?

When it first happed I brought it to the dealer and the service writer didn't know either. Also if you disconnect the battery the ESP will have to be reset. Turn the wheel completely to the left and then completely to the right.

My drivers side window does this crazy thing when I close it using express close..it goes up half way...then stops..comes down a bit ..then goes back up a bit and stops half way. strangest thing..but once I re-sync it...it works fine... it does this once in a while.....

that happens to my driver window sometimes... i think it's when i hit the express up, then hit a bump, it does that... i think it triggers the window safety feature in case you have your hand there or something.
