C230 Lease is up... WHAT NEXT???
I can't beleive its been almost 3 years already but my lease is up in a few weeks. All you guys in this forum have been great to me with advice, tips, etc. So I guess one of my last questions is, what car should I get next that's *like* the c230 Kompressor (02)?
I definately love the handling of the car, and the sports feel of it all, so definately not going with anything besides Mercedes or BMW. Obviously I can't stretch the budget too much, so anything around E350 pricetag or below would be feasible. I know I want a sedan and not a coupe, that's for sure. And AWD would be great but I doubt that'll come standard with a 40-50k vehicle. Also is it possible for a dealership to offer an AMG branded C-class, I figure that to be better then a low-end E-Class model, right? Right

If you want an AMG sedan you'd be looking at a c55 and yes that is better than a low-end E-class. But if you want AWD, a sedan, a sporty feel, etc, i would reall look into the new Audi A4. That would give you quattro and the option for a manual transmission (a LOT better than mercedes' manuals, i might add). I know a TON of guys in NYC have them because they perform excellently in snow, go to audiworld.org and check it out, lots of tuning potential in the new 2.0t (guys were getting 500hp+ out of the old 1.8T) and the new V6 has more horsepower than the 2001 S4, i think it's worth a serious look.

If you want AWD and a good deal, dealers are trying to rid the '05 A4 Quattros. You can probably get one at a great deal because the new 2005.5s are in. Mine is loaded (quattro, bi-xenon, sport package, 6-speed, etc) and I got a great deal on it back in August...so you can probably do better than I did now. Out the door was about $35k I think...don't remember right now. Quattro is one of the top, if not the best, AWD systems out there right now. The 1.8T is a little slower than the 1.8L supercharged...but the new A4, 2.0T is very very sweet...no turbo lag at all (200hp and 207tq).
fwiw, i've had my A4 since sept 1st and 12k miles...no issues at all. Love it and it's awesome in the snow

Depending on what look you like, either the B6 (2002-2005) or the B7 (2005.5+), the new A4 is pretty expensive when loaded up...more so than the B6 model. But IMO the new DVD NAV and 2.0T engine is worth it

Why not an E90 BMW 3 series? I sat in one 2 weeks ago that got shipped to the dealer 2 weeks early! Now they have 3 of them! Very nice indeed and may be the end for MB for me and my wife! Mostly because the Coupe is gone as well as the rumors that the rear air bags will be removed from the newer C class line-up! Not to mention the fact that I like being able to pay for certain options like dual power seats and not have them cut for savings like in the current W203!!!

The E90 3 series may be tough to get in the immediate future and may have some problems with the first year like they always do. The outgoing E46 has some great deals.
You could wait for the C350. With the extra power it won't be near AMG levels, but it'll pack a good punch.
Volvo has great lease deals on the S60 R now. I hope it's a better car than the S70 we have, which has caused me a great deal of inconvenience recently, but the R looks awesome and should be fine as long as long as its under warranty.

I've had a few Jag X types before. Am not really a fan of the handling or body. Volvo aint my thing either. It may seem shallow, but I want a name brand as well as a good ride. And damn, I saw the MSRP on the c55 AMG. Wooo, that's out of the question . Way too pricey

the E is very comfortable. but i would
pick the C55 for the speed.

09' BMW M3 E90
Got the BMW X5 for the family after the lease was up in Feb. Still thinking about a car for my self to enjoy this summer. I really miss my Mustangs. So i was thinking maybe an new 2005 SALEEN Mustang with 400HP. Or a new SLK.

Ugh what the heck is wrong with all this imitation... the Nissan Maxima, Lexus GS, Infiniti M all have the same damn body style (just look at the back curvuture).
