Water Getting Into Trunk
The leak seems to be comming in on the passenger side rear window
It looks like it is coming in between the rubber gasket and the trunk lid.

But seriously now. You got 2 options here.
1) Tape some water sensitive paper on the inside of the trunk overlapping the trunk opening. Close the trunk. Get the garden hose and turn it on. Spray. Now open the trunk again and see where the paper got wet.
2) Lock your little brother or sister in the trunk with a flashlight. Repeat the gardenhose steps. Open the trunk and ask them to point out the leak.
Put my son in the trunk with a flashlight
Put the garden hose at full strength all along the seams.
No water penetration anywhere.
The leak was noticed on 2 occassions both after a car wash, and in the same spot - right side of the trunk directly below bottom of rear window.
Now with the kid in the trunk and the hose directly at the spot nothing.
Any other ideas.

If my dad had wanted to put me in a trunk with a flashlight...you know... I think I would have had a problem with that

Anyways, going back to the issue, maybe you can borrow one of the those high pressurized hoses from someone (not too strong of PSI, otherwise you'll take off the paint). This time YOU go inside the truck and then have YOUR SON directly hit the area. If your son is of a young age, I would recommend that someone who is responsible control the amount of pressure.
I got in the trunk can't see a damn thing.
Had the water running on it for about 5 minutes.
The leak should have appeared, the car wash doesn't take that long.
I made sure the chanel was clear of leaves and other debris even blew out under the plastic trim with a compressor. Still nothing.
I will try using the pressure washer with moderate setting to see if anything happens.
Any ideas?
Is there a sunroof drain hose running along that side somewhere?
I removed the interior panel of the trunk (right side) opened the sunroof with the car parked in the driveway.
I carefully proceeded to pour water into the sunroof channels so that the water would go out the rear drain hole.
The water went right out through the drain hole as supposed to. No water penetrated the trunk.
The only thing that I can think of is that the water is coming in between the rubber seal and the trunk lid, but that didn't leak last time I checked.
Maybe I need to get in the trunk when the car is going through the wash to see where it is coming from.
Any other ideas?
Tried all the steps above with no solution.
The water seems to "jump" the weather strip (backside of trunk) and get into the trunk.
Solution: moved the strip higher up
