DIY Throttle Calibration?
By the way, it is so stealth that the MBLN tech I had in my car a while back had never been taught this way to reset. He was using the computer hook-up every time to accomplish the same thing.
- Turn the key 3 clicks?
- step on the gas pedal all the way for 5 secs
- turn the key all the way to off (but leave key in)
- take foot off gas pedal
then after 2 mins i should hear a click or if not i should just feel the difference? i have an auto trans '03 c240 4matic.. can i do this on mine?

Press the gas pedal all the way down, including the quick down. Hold for 5 seconds. Turn key off BEFORE you release the pedal.
Wait a minute or two and drive your brand new car!
Its funny, I tell my non-MB buddies about this they get jealous and try to do it to their cars

A few things to keep in mind:
- Turn the key to the "on" position, but don't start the car.
- Make sure that you're pressing the gas pedal all the way down to the kick down switch (it's that feeling that you're pressing a button below the pedal)
- Shouldn't really hear a click or anything after it's done, you should just feel the transmission holding the gears longer while it adjusts to your driving style again.

grrrr, cant wait.. Let you know when I get home from work how it went!!! BTW I just found out youre Filipino? Salamat pare ko!
Yup, I'm Fil-Am, but speak and understand Tagalog (almost fluently).
the thing is, unlike other nations who migrated here, Filipinos practices the language at home but never to their kids since parents fear that they will start to speak like them.. so anyways.. thanks for the help.. i havent tried to do the throttle thing again but im about to right now.. a little drive around before bed...
- turn key to on but dont start
- press the gas pedal all the way down for 5secs, "quick turn" - is this use for something?
- turn key off, let go of gas.. do i take the key out?
Youre one of the lucky few with parents teaching you by speaking to you in tagalog. Some dont have the benefit, others dont even care. Yeah your cousins messed it up a bit for you hehe. But hey, at least you still understand and speak a little bit right?
Thanks for the help with the throttle reset. Ill do it monthly hehe.

Yup. Very lucky to have had my parents teach me Tagalog. Considering they've been here for 47 years or so, I'm glad that I'm able to continue to understand and speak. Actually, when I speak and talk, I'm okay as long as the conversation doesn't get too complicated. If I can't figure out how to say something fully in Tagalog, I'll resort to Taglish (which is fine by me). It's the grammar/writing that I never really learned. If you asked me to read a newspaper, I'd understand, but there's NO way I'd be able to write properly in Tagalog (my vocab is very limited).
Nothing to be confused about, just push down the accelerator as far down as you can.
