Nice!
Wow! I can't believe I have never heard of this before! My wife's c230 always felt a lot more responsive than mine and I never could figure it out. Well this is the trick! It does make a big difference in shift times in both modes.
Hats off to whoever first posted this!

I did the ECU reset myself. As soon as I pressed the peddle all the way down, I heard a noise coming from behind my dash, it was electronic sound of something working, This happened for about 30-45 seconds, then after about 2 minutes I heard the click noise and started my car and wow, what a difference. The acceleration is much better. Definitely worth while.

After reading about everyon's experience with this. I'm planning on cleaning my throttle body this weekend, just not sure if I should wait to clean it first then try this nifty trick.
Sounds like it works for the majority of users in this forum...

MBWorld Fanatic!
like glyn says you "reteaching" the throttle endstops to the ecu.
thats all, and all you need is to switch the ignition on and wait 90 sec max. no pressing on throttle, nothing, in fact learning will be aborted if idle value on pedal sensor is not detected. also car must be in park or neutral. it will work on w202 as well even 124 with 111 or 104 engines w140 R129's R170,but you pushing your luck on a w123,lol

Let me tell you guys.....
I had picked up my brother at his job downtown Ottawa, Ontario. I go to take a corner at the red light... I never seen my car go brockside like that before.. I nearly **** my pants lol..
For the most parts it works great! Just gasoline is expensive!

This reset woke up the sleeping giant in my C230K... holy crap, what a differance this made in throttle response... just like others have said, it was like driving a new car. Thank you Glynn!

ECU reset
I did the key+gas pedal thing last week and after driving about 50 mi the check engine light came on. Took it to my mechanic and he reset it and told me don't do everything you read on the interwebs. LMAO!

I got my idle problems fixed.. It was the stupid MAF sensor... I got the MAF sensor cleaner and sprayed it , let it sit for an hour and it ran perfect.
Make sure the maf sensor is seated properly when you reinstall.

Yesterday i cleaned my MAF, my intake and throttle body but it still hesitated twice during acceleration today. Although that was an improvement. As for power im not sure if thats notmal now, forgot how this car felt with power :P
