New Jersey service
Can anyone recommend a dealer in Central or Northern Jersey for service? I recently relocated from out-of-state, and want to know of any good/bad experiences with Jersey dealers. Also want to make sure I get a MB loaner and not some junk ride. Thanks.

-MB Princeton is good service...but their salesmonkeys aren't nearly as good. I've had very good experience with most of the service advisors...only one tried to shaft me...and he's gone.
-Catena in Edison was ok, but slow in getting the work done.
-Millenium in Bridgewater sucked...I knew more about my Coupe than they did, and had to bring instructions from MBWorld for turning off the auto volume on my Bose system...and they still screwed it up. I gave them a poor service report, but I didn't buy my cars there so it probably didn't matter.

ray catena is the best and their new edison service center/lounge is off the hook with the pool tables, computers with internet, indoor golf range and stocked up fridges. cant beat the ml and c loaners. david michael is the worst.

I live in Monmouth County, and bought my car from David Michael. Their service dept is less than desireable (in my opinion), and I've started taking my car to Contemporary.

Contemporary was better than DM. The only thing is, their entire dealership is very small, so there is limited parking. Decent waiting area though.
Good Luck.

NY/NJ Dealers
I have used Nanuet MB and Morristown MB. I've found both to be pretty poor. Of course I expect to be treated honestly and fairly. My wife tells me I expect too much. Both dealerships acted like they were doing me a favor whenever I had work done. People who look older than me have had better experience at Morristown. YMMV.

I go to Morristown for regular services, and once used their body shop. I'm completely unhappy with the experience I got with their body shop. They did a poor job for 5k repair work, and didn't fix the front end damage my car got from an accident. After giving them a second try, they just covered it up, poorly relocated the front bumper into place without a complete checkup. Now, after couple mouth after I settled with the insurance, my front fog light just fall off for no reason, and I have to pay to fix the parts it received from the accident.
Although usually it takes Morristown service department more than one visit to fix a single problem under warranty. The body shop is the worst, and unorganised place. A nightmare deal with Tony.

Droped my car off yesterday at Prestige in paramus. Got a phone call this morning already dont like the service and where it is going will give an update later but I spoke to guy name Rob extremely rude and simply just trying to rob me. Says cracked light is not underwaranty. and is trying to tell me i need an alignment before even driving the car or putting it up on the machine. My car only has 10k miles on it, trying to selll me tires and brakes. I just crossed over from the BMW family and never had problems with there service.

Couple of things:
A cracked light is not under warranty regardless of the service center you use. True, a good service center may replace it for you to keep you happy, but I wouldn't give a shop a blemish just because they're not warranteeing something that is not included in the warranty.
I've had no problems with Prestige; have not tried anyone else nor taken my car in for bodywork from a dealership (though I'd strongly advise against using a dealership as a bodywork middleman on general principle anyway), though. As far as service, change your own oil and filter - takes 30 minutes and saves you a decent amount of money, and is idiotproof with the proper cheap equipment. These are c classes, not Ferraris.
BB only goes to Ray Catena because he wishes that he lived in Jersey. :p
