Warranty will not cover anything like that, hopefully you have an insurance company that will fill rock holes in windshields, etc. for free. Don't expect MB to pick up the tab.

really? oh man thats not good.. i mean its not a big like spider crack, its more just like a chip.. i thought maybe they had something where they covered everything for a certain amount of time.. guess i will have to hope for the best that either MB picks it up or the insurance company will pay.. thanks for the response..

if it's a chip (not more than the size of a quarter) then it can probably be repaired for like $40. check out the autoglass repair in the yellow pages.

nlpamg-
Exactly what I was saying! Some insurance companies (GEICO, I know of) have this as a standard thing on some of their policies, for no additional cost.

duke5041-
MB will not pay for this at all, unless your dealer is extremely nice. I would recommend doing what I and "nlpamg" suggested, check with your insurance company first to see if they offer this repair for free.

Good Luck

ya its like the size of a dime. maybe even smaller.. i know its not a big deal, but the car is brand new (still didnt get the plates). so i hate to drive it around with something wrong already. but i am going to check with the insurance company on Monday and then see what they say. if they dont cover it or whatever then i guess i will go with the autoglass place from the yellow pages.. i was hoping that MB would pick it up, but i realize that doesnt seem too likely...

there's no way that mb will pick it up. however, leave the car indoors if you can and pop the windows or sunroof a tad bit so that the inside doesn't pressurize and make the crack even bigger.
