Rear Side Door Fixed Sunblinds? Where to buy?
![](http://www.mbusa.com/media/images/byo/popups/2005/C/a5172.jpg)
I want the two rear side door fixed sunblinds/sunshades, I asked my parts department about them a month ago, they wanted $48 each plus tax so I decided not to get them.
I call back today and now they want $58 each plus tax! Then I called 3 other dealers in the area and they all want $58! I thought different dealerships had different prices on parts?
Where should I order it from? Does anyone sell them less than $58 each???
Has anyone tried buying the same mesh fabric and making them yourself?
$116 + tax is crazy expensive for some mesh and a plastic clip!

Don't know if you would consider this, but I found this wrecking yard in L.A. (fairly close by me) that sells Recycled parts for MB's.
Here's a link:
http://mercedesdismantlers.com//prod.html
I've called for parts on my parents 2002 E class before and they had a grip of parts. Granted, I know you've got a 2005, but there might be a possibility that they have these sunshades, which I believe they've had available as an accessory (could be wrong) since 2001.
If I see anywhere else that sells them brand new for less than what you were quoted, I'll let you know.

no, they are different from the ones built into the E class as these are designed to fit in the C class doors/windows. idk what year they make them for but on MBUSA.com they show them as an accessory for the 2005 C-Class when you go into Build a Car.

Why not just get limo tint on the rear windows, then? Those clipons always look like something made by Ronco to me, no matter the marque.

because in Connecticut tint greater than 35% on the side windows is illegal, with the sunblinds i can have it darker but it's still 100% legal. i had 20% tint all around on the bmw and i already got a warning for it so i had it removed and put on 35% tint on the sides and 20% on the rear, same as the c230.

are those MB accessory part numbers ?
or
Clair Parts inventory numbers ?
If MB dealerships are selling those for $48-$58 on the East Coast,
then they're probably $24-$34 on the West Coast MB dealerships.
I can get most (if not all) MB parts at wholesale cost,
so give me the actual MB accessory part numbers, and I'll find out how much they sell for here in SoCal MB dealerships.

I can't remember if that was MB's pn's or Clair's... but most West Coast stealerships wanted 70 retail each.. I hope your cost/wholesale is much better and if you're willing to help others out that's great of you to do...

I have them down all the way when I'm driving on the streets or expressways.. I choose not to on freeways... the noise factors in and I roll them up to leave a bit at the top open for air

How hard are they to take down? Do the clips make any marks on the door and if so, are they permanent? Sorry, I'm full of questions and thinking about buying them.
