Keyless Go Retrofitted in my w203 Sedan

I finished retrofitting the Keyless Go system in my 203 sedan a few days ago. It was the most extensive project I undertook. It took several months to finish as there are no direct replacement parts for the 203. Some parts had to be modified to fit or work. It involved replacement/addition of the following parts:

1. Both front door handles
2. Door handle bearings
3. Door Harnesses added
4. Door Keyless Go control Modules added
5. Door Antennas added
6. Center Console Control Unit/Antenna added
7. Rear Trunk Control unit
8. Rear Trunk button to lock doors
9. Electronic Ignition System replaced
10. Gear Shifter Knob replaced
11. Gear Shifter Assembly Replaced
12. Rear Bumper Antenna
13. Inner Trunk Antenna
14. Main KG Harness

THe Instrument cluster and EIS have been programmed for KG already. I still need to aquire keys for my car. The system itself is active though. All functions work when tested in DAS. The doors themselves are suppose to have door popper assist motors installed which I did not do. I may do this later on.

Sunny's mods

Maybe we all need to pay for a trip for Sunman to go to Germany so he can show them what we all want on our rides.

Amazing...

this mod is the ****.

I wish I could do this, but I take it that the cost and effort would be way to much for me.

good job man, I love seeing your mods

Basically a way to enter and start your car without havnig to use a key, except that you need a credit card size detector on you.

the credit size remote is no longer used for several years now. It is integrated into the regular key now.

greetingz,
I was just curious how much this mod cost? It is some secret that you can't even give us a ballpark figure? I guessing it was a couple grand just in parts.

Jim, I honestly can't remember since parts were spread over several weeks. I can estimate about 2 grand though.
